Does anyone know/own a good brand Region Free dvd player? I went back home to England last year, and have bought back several British comedies and films that i could never find in the states and they've been sitting in a box since then, cause they're all region 2 stuff and USA is region 1.

This is not a bootlegging question; just trying to play the movies that i paid for.

Thanks!:yay:

Buy a cheap philips or goodmans dvd player and just unlock it, you just have to type in the name and the serial number into google (or go onto this philips website i have) and type the Engineer code into the dvd player via the remote.

Many bargain priced dvd players are easily hackable to be region free, or in some cases are already setup region 0 (region free).
Either look for products previously mentioned or do some research.
Check out the store(s) you plan on buying from, write down product numbers of some players and look them up online to see if they are hackable or not.
Try to steer clear of big brand names like sony etc.. as they are usually not hackable.

In my experience the super cheap players are usually always easily hackable (or come region free) but a lot of times suffer in lifespan.
