Hollywood seems to be churning out alot of remakes right now. Go through the poll and click on the movies you're interested in seeing should they actually get remade. Some below have been annouced, some are rumored, and perhaps some I just threw in there.

you know, hollywood have it all wrong, they should remake the crap films..not the good ones, what they failed with the first time they can re do.

Jeepers Creepers.

I dont' think they should remake crap films. I think they should take some of the great films or ideas that could benefit from the advancements in film technology, effects, etc...Or the small cult films that never got the big budgets they deserved or would recieve today. Not all but certain ones. I think Clash of the Titans, Escape from NY, Dirty Dozen, and Fantastic Voyage are good examples of this. Other reasons for remakes are perhaps a great foregin film turned into a US film like The Host, The Ring, etc...

I always want to see original films but at the same time a remake of a film that deserves one is always welcome by me. I think some are not needed like The Thing, Total Recall, Big Trouble in Little China, Blade Runner, Alien, Star Wars, ET, etc...Too soon.

If they ever remake Jaws I'm going to kill someone.

But with todays technology they could actually get the mechanical shark to work :) unlike say the original lol.

I voted for Clash. But most of these are too good as is to remake. Why fix what isn't broke?

But how much of the shark do you see? Not much. And the little you see works great. but that's my opinion.

they tried that for Deep blue sea.. then they CGI the damn sharks???

How about a continuation of the aliens franchise right after aliens because aliens 3 and 4 sucked.

Only remake the films you can make better, like bad ones.

Mad Max and Robocop could use a reboot. The only Mad Max movie I liked was the Road Warrior. The first Robocop movie had it's moments but it was not that good and the sequels were horrible.

Isnt this a bit of a contradiction?
You say improve great films in the first part and in the second part say no leave great films alone. The thing, Total recal, Big trouble for example had scenes where the effects could be improved on greatly.

You should have a NO REMAKES option.....
Well thankfully we are not living in a facist society. The remark "You should have a NO REMAKES option" is the dumbest and most narrow minded comment possible.

Why? There is so much potential original output, excuse me If I don't want to see the same film every 20 years.

no offense, but why are you posting in a "remakes you WANT to see" thread....if you don't want to see any remakes? just seems kinda contradictory to the thread's topic...

I think they should remake nothing because they all suck, and instead come up w/ some new ideas. I would like a sequel to Robocop though- definatley not a remake.

There's nothing wrong with that statement right there. I agree with this one whole heartedly. I dont want to see every movie get remade either, but movie can be remade and improved upon. Its your last statement that I disagree with, there have been remakes that have been far superior than the originals. So to say there should not be any remakes period is just like I said narrow minded.

The movie industry does not revolve around you though. For instance many of the kids today never saw King Kong, War of the Worlds, Assault on Precinct 13, 3:10 to Yuma, when they were first made. Remakes can also help create awareness of the original as well.

I wanted to see what the choices were, then when I didn't see even one that I'd even watch for free if remade, then I felt the urge to comment.

I still can't get over them reodoing the day the earth stood still, it breaks my heart to hear it.

They'd be better of digitally re-mastering and rereleasing some of the films.
