A tip o' the hat to Next-Gen.biz for the details.

I thought Pokemon would have already surpassed it by now... But it's no surprise. No game will ever sell as much as the original Super Mario Bros.

I'm really surprised the Halo and MGS aren't on the list but James Bond is. ???

thats really no surprise. Mario has been around for over 20 years. My first game was a Mario one

I'm guessing that Halo will be on that list after Halo 3 hits.

I was under the impression that both of them had sold more than 20 million copies together.. I suppose not?

I don't know why so many seem to think that Halo is selling THAT well... I repeatedly point out that many Nintendo DS titles such as Nintendogs and Brain Age have outsold Halo and Halo 2, respectively. They're not bad games at all (although I don't much care for them), but it will take a few more installments in order get on the above list.

Mario started this gangsta shiznit. We all grew up on the Mario Bros., regardless of how some of us have forsaken them as of late.

Most of James Bond's sales have to be from Goldeneye for N64 because I don't think any of the other games really sold that well. Also after Halo 3 I think it's safe to say it will be in that list.

Im not surprised at Mario's sales figures. i mean that's inculding evrey game Mario (or Luigi or Yoshi) has ever been in and there is a ****load of them. There has to be at least 30 differnt Mario games spanning across the systems if you inculde all the Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, Yoshi's Island, Mario Parties and all the handheld games in addition to the the orginal Super Mario Brothers Games and Super Mario 64. I mean there are a ton of Mario games.

I was surpised by he GTA sales. I mean I know they sold a lot but fifty million. Wow. I guess it makes since those I mean San Andreas sold like 15 million alone right?

That list looks totally fake. MGS isn't even on the list, and Megaman should be much much higher

^ What he said.

Report: Grass is confirmed as 'Green.' :whatever:

Some things in life don't need to be reported on. :yay:

Chances are they'll be making Mario games after all of our grandkids grandkids die. Chances are they'll still be some of the best games on the market too. There's just something about Mario, it's simplistic but damn fun. Mario64 was the first game that showed me what 3D could really do, and is still fun now. I skipped Luigi's mansion and Mario Sunshine tho lol.

Which 'first one,' Mario Bros. or Super Mario Bros.?

Not that it matters much. The former wasn't enough of a console hit to be sought after and the latter was stamped out in such huge numbers that it's still readily available. Mint-in-box, however, if you can procure it, might fetch a few dollars. I doubt anyone who bought Super Mario Bros. in 1986 would have left it sealed and on the shelf for 21 years.
