Can someone just tell me one good reason to reanimate/ clone this animal.
Because when other stuff goes extinct and we want/need them back it's better to have some practice in first. Science is about discovering stuff. Would they learn nothing from this?
Why would we need something that couldn't adapt back?

But don't most scientists think it's just as likely humans hunted them to extinction?
Now that we imagine they will successfully clone this specie of animals, how long do you figure it will take before they release them to the wilds?Now we'll have a chance to do it all over again.
There'll be big bucks for mammoth-fur coats, mammoth tusks, etc....
I guess they were a little slow on the timeline for this. Too bad it wasn’t encased in Amber. They could’ve made a movie out of it.
