Sooo I need help with this. I have the latest Firefox update, but my browser was completely lagging today so I ended up restarting my laptop twice, and that didn't do anything to fix the lag. So, I did a reset of my browser and now none of my bookmarks or saved passwords are where they should be.

I have a folder on my desktop now that says old Firefox data and there's one folder within that one that says bookmark backups but all of those end with .json and I can't open them so I don't know how to open them to import them to Firefox again.

Is there also another way to get my saved passwords back? I checked out the Firefox articles they have on these issues, but none of it made sense to me. Anyone have any helpful tips to help a girl out?

I'm using a Windows 7.

You can try this extension: FEBE to restore them.

It's not meant specifically for this kind of problem though it is meant to prevent them in the future.

You'll need to install it in a seperate profile to restore to your main profile and direct it to restore files from the old folder with the data inside it.

I managed to get my bookmarks back last night, but not the passwords. I'll have to give that a look-see.
