I know this is unlikely to happen but this is just my idea.

The Fantastic Four Reboot takes place in the 60's, around the same time as First Class. This was when space exploration was at it's most wondrous time in history and the the X-Verse mutants are not known to most of mankind (they can still portray people with powers as celebrities).

This would also set the FMCU apart from other franchises if it has series that take place before modern times. They could then do a Future Foundation film that takes place in the present. What do you guys think of this idea?

I LOVE this idea.

The 60's gave alot of charm to First Class and the F4 were always a little goofy.

Sine DOFP taes place in the 70's then it'd be more likely to be in that decade so a Crossover could happen if wanted

Its a potentially workable idea, but I have a sneaking suspicion it would turn into an excuse for jailbait Sue and useless kid sidekick Johnny.

i like this too. I thought I remembered some kind of talk that either the initial FF movies might be like this, or that the reboot might.

I forget, it might have even just been speculation on some forum like this one.
but I just remember having some hope at one point that this was going to happen. probably just rumors.

Its unique and not a bad idea, but do we really want the Fantastic Four set in the past decade? Sure they could time-travel to the present if they want to but I just don't think its ideal for this comic-book property.
