Superman Returns Return To Krypton Sequence Designs + 3D Clips!!!

Whoa now there we have alot of WALLPAPER choices!
Nice art work but honestly it was idiotic to have Superman go to his homeworld, and have it look like that when you saw how it exploded into cosmic dust in the original movies, and even in the intro to SR.

Singer blew away a good 35million on a scene he A never used, and B made no sense to begin with!

Another Singerman Hack Job is uncovered! Way to blow 35million of the WB's money Bryan!

I think you're way off with that pricetag mention.Maybe your great dislike for Bryan Singer's Superman prevents you from thinking rationally.

The reports i've read claim RTK cost 10 million dollars. Most of that cash went into the construction of the complex ship set.

I do agree though that it was a big waste to leave it out of the final cut of SR. I'm almost certain we will see it someday in an extended cut and/or perhaps in the sequel as an introduction to the main villain(s).I think WB knows people are clamoring to see it.

A hidden extra wallpaper that was on the official theatrical website of Singer in the RTK ship plus another pic of the director on the set.

So much great artwork. Now I have a new wallpaper collection

Just an FYI that Ben Procter's official is now back online.;)

I concur with the formerly mentioned comments... I hope this sets up the sequel

the guy who designed the Krypton ship and the Fortress of Solitude.

read the first post of this thread. it should answer all you questions :)

Congrats on not pointing, laughing, and screaming NEWB at him. ;) heh heh

well i am a member of SOTBF.

...wait, this isnt the TDK forums? :wow:

N00b!!!!!!

there has to be a SR 1.5 in the works.... why would WB be sitting on this sequence unless to captalize on it?! It's stunning!

And it cost at least 10 million dollars.....This seriously has to be the intro to Brainiac in the sequel...It would be the greatest travesty to not include

Wow, that was completely unnecessary. Just for your information, Ive been around these boards for quite a long time and was contemplating on whether or not I wanted to join these boards because I have seen so many jacka**es in here. You, my friend, just proved what I thought was to be true.

I didn't make that joke simply because you are new. I made the joke because you came in asking who Ben is when all you had to do was read the first post from the person who made this thread.

"Found this not so long ago on 2d/3d conceptual illustrator Ben Procter's official site. He did designs for the return to Krypton sequence, Fortress of Sollitude and the baby ship. Theres also some cool short 3d clips of the sequence and much more awesome designs on the site!!!

I've got to believe they just decided hinting at Brainiac for the first film was not needed yet and scrapped the entire scene for use in the sequel. I hope that's why anyways.

of course there will be a special dvd,
has nooen noticed that there was nothing about CGI on the dvd?
on the official site of sony imageworks tehre is only oen video. spiderman and ghost rider have at least 3 videos about CGI.

Some of the footage is available here. But unfortunately it's stuff that we've seen in the comic con blog.

Wow the blue in his suit looks great in that above demo, but the red in his cape still looks like dried blood.

i just realized now why it was cut out.

the Krypton scenes were around 15 minutes long. right? and the theatrical cut was around 154 minutes. this together would be 169 or 170 minutes. and that is to long for the Imax. so it was always because of the Imax.

did we already talk about this? its been 3 years and i forgot.
