The Prestige will be released in US on Oct 20th, right?
Then why did he say that it will come only next month?

So you would rather see The Prestige instead of the creme de la creme of modern day cinema?MulligaN Stew said:Why spoil it Retro?! Why?!
I need to see this on the 20th. Limited film release!!!
Aaarrrggghhh, if the local theater are playing Jackass 2, Employee of the Month, Beerfest, The Covenant. . . well, you see where I'm going with this. . . . why can't I have a decent reason to go. . .a la the Prestige.
:concerned:
Well it said so on imdb. I guess that info is incorrect then.Cinemaman said:There is no limited release for The Prestige
Yeah, I also have this problem

Cinemaman said:They must be wrong, because:
1) ComingSoon is better site to believe.
2) This movie is very promoted, so I can't see any reason to release it with limit.
I should have known better since it was imdb. I hope it does well at the Box office.ultimatefan said:I never heard of a limited release. The movie´s been fairly well-promoted by the studio and it´s getting early glowing reviews. Clearly the studio seems to believe, with good reason, they have a winner.

Sounds like music to my ears.Cinemaman said:My forecast
Opening Day: $9m
Opening Weekend: $23m
Domestic: $77m
Overseas: $64m
Worldwide: $141m
Cinemaman said:If The Prestige gets enough positive reviews from critics, then it will have nominations of the main Oscar Awards.
I think so, because The Black Dahlia, Hollywoodland and Flags of Our Fathers (they all were Oscar favs) didn't have critical success.
So I can see The Prestige, The Good Shepherd and Good German being the main movies for categories like Best Motion-Picture and Best Director.
I even think The Prestige will be able to get Best Director Award
But I think we should just wait for 2-3 weeks after it's release date, when most of critics will post their reviews.
