I was going to see this film today, but I have an appointment at 3PM and then dinner engagements afterwards, and the first showing is at 1PM. So I'll have to catch it on Saturday and/or Sunday, but I look forward to it. Nolan hasn't disappointed thus far.

And apparently this won´t be the first time: the movie has reached 75% fresh and a pretty good 7,3 average rating at RT as of now.

Just popping this up since I guess my point to make here belongs in a Batman forum.

The dialogue in The Prestige was exceptional. I don't think they'll employ the timeline-jumping storyline tactic for TDK. After all, The Prestige was framed like a magic trick and the tagline is, "Are you watching closely?" But I didn't find that any point of the movie dragged or where the dialogue was cringe-inducing.

If The Prestige was the testing grounds for Jonah Nolan to prove himself to Batman fans, I have total faith in his abilities now.

I think people are just rough on these films. Some of the "corny" dialogue came straight out of beloved bat-lore, only alot of people that complained didn't know that.

Word. I never had a problem with the dialogue - no, not even Rachel's perchant for being a little preachy as it fit her character IMO. I also confess I laugh at 'I've gotta get me one of those' every time I watch Begins but that's probably more because Oldman sells it so well.

I can't believe I have another week to wait for The Prestige. *sulk*

Maybe you should just stay clear of Nolan films, they never turn out good for you anyways
