Rewriting Spider-Man 3: Input Welcome

I would not put Venom in the movie at all. Venom should have been saved for the next one...

I like the idea of Sandman as an absolute. Just a bad guy. Raimi already had two villains in the first two that started good and then turned bad. Sandman should be different than those two. There should be absolutely no connection between Peter & Sandman. Once Raimi did this, it just looked so repetitive. I don't mind maybe a Spider-Man / Sandman connection like Spider-Man captured Flint and then he broke out of prison and turned into Sandman. They should have used the shuttle / 94 animated series storyline in the movie. I know it's close to Species 2, but Species 2 came out AFTER the 94 Spidey cartoon.

I liked the opening idea of Spider-Man 3 where Spider-Man was finally loved throughout NY & Peter's personal life was in good shape. It was a PAY OFF from the first two films. I think that the movie should be about Peter finally getting everything he wants and he throws it away (because of black suit). The theme could be about redemption. Peter messed everything up so its up to him to fix everything!

All the characters can be put into this theme..

-Peter gets cocky and does not appreciate what he has (MJ), so he decides to get closer to someone that he has more in common with (Gwen Stacy). So Peter has to make it up to MJ...

-Harry could choose to NOT fight Peter until he sees Peter is becoming egotistical, evil, vicious, bad qualities (due to black suit) and then he would choose to become Goblin 2 (not surf ninja goblin, btw). So then it's Peter's job to patch things up with Harry.

-Peter eliminates his competition in his personal life, Eddie Brock. Brock must deal with the consequences of this action, which will be saved for the fourth film.

-You could use the redemption angle for Sandman too. At the end , Sandman realizes that his actions can not be redeemed and would rather die a monster (mimicking Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock storyline)

Did the OP ever finish his Spider-Man 3 script ???

Ok, i know this is a bit drastic but like Nostalgia Critic said, maybe you should change Eddie Brock with John Jameson, J.J.J.'s son from the 2nd film, he had more reasons to turn into venom and he was going to the moon, it would make sence for him to hunt down spider-man, and another thing, don't make the villain kidnap Mary Jane at the end of the movie again, that just seems like the repetitive kidnapings of lana and lex in smallville.
