So after having some time to process everything...which is a lot...

I think what the campaign should do moving forward is start framing Trump as an amoral trojan horse for Project 2025 (which also happens to be true). The Project 2025 messaging is working. The more people find out what it actually is, the more rightfully terrified they are, the TikToks are blowing up. Talk about Trump like the sad pathetic puppet he is, and then start talking about the dangerous people behind him. Start naming Kevin Roberts and shining a brighter and brighter spotlight on that horrific agenda and how they're not even hiding it. I really think that is how to thread the needle of keeping the stakes of the election front and center without constant accusations of inciting more political violence against Trump himself and "raising the temperature". Also, ya know, how the shooter was a registered Republican and used an AR-15. There are ways through this. The narrative doesn't play out as conveniently for the right as they want you to think.

An extremist Republican (more than likely far right) doesn’t play at all in Trump’s favor. All that needs to be done is to easily connect the dots on how Trump has caused an atmosphere of chaos and violence since 2016 ranging from mass shootings to potential bombings and beyond.

This is why Republicans are desperately trying to conceive of false social media pages and conspiracy theories right now.

Remind people it’s par the course of the environment that Trump breeds.

All the above is factually accurate and have been heavily covered. Now it’s just reminding people.

Yup.

Remind people of Jan 6, all the political violence inherent in MAGA rhetoric. In no way in hell should they ever get to a control a narrative about political violence and extremist rhetoric after Jan 6. I mean, they'll try, but it's laughable how easily exposed as horse**** that is.

The vast majority of people in this country want the temperature turned down, not up. They just want the freak show to end. I truly believe that.

I get it, Trump got his cute little photo op (which is sus AF btw but ok) and they're selling T-shirts and trading cards already, but who does that appeal to outside his base? What undecided voter says "welp someone tried to kill him so I guess I should vote for him" ? Meh. It fires up his base but that's it IMO. The real danger is CNN and MSM starting to run stuff like "well what we should really be talking about is toning down the rhetoric about how the dangerous Trump is", and framing the narratives exactly wrong like they have a habit of doing.

The thing that truly scares me most about this election is what types of stunts could be pulled ON or around election day to suppress voter turnout and any attempts to muddy the waters on the election itself. Make no mistakes, the types of people Trump is in with like Mike Flynn are full-on traitors openly prepping a coup and it's dangerous stuff.

They'll probably have to wait until Trump is out of the hospital to take this direction out of human decency hence the suspension of political campaign ads.

Decency is how the left will lose the election.

Elephants and Trump are rolling in the mud, Biden needs to too or it’s basically forfeiting.

Their narratives need to be countered head on, not ignored.

While that’s the opposite of what they are actually doing. They’re staying silent allowing Republicans to falsely make and completely run with the narrative of “the violent left and anti-Trump.”

Being humane is letting people process what happened. Biden spoke his thoughts on this and that's good enough for them until he's ready to campaign again. It sucks, but that's the path chosen.

Meanwhile that’s not what Republicans are doing at all, they’re creating the story and running full on with it in an attempt to transform their hero into a martyr to create a rally around the flag event.

As said, it NEEDS to be met head on and countered otherwise Biden might as well drop out now because it’s tantamount to forfeiting.

Yes, it does suck that the Democrats in charge don’t have a back bone.

It's still not even confirmed if he was actually grazed by a bullet or was hit by a shard of glass from the teleprompter getting hit.
 


Yeah the same "elites" were the ones who pushed for Biden and convinced Pete and Amy to drop out and throw their support behind him.

As stated, rather than combating the narrative which is very easy to do -

The shooter was a loner registered Republican whose small circle of friends were known to wear Trump hats. The job is mostly done for Biden.

They are choosing to forfeit. Really hoping The Lincoln Project knows better and does what needs to be done, getting into the mud.
