Love that image.

Please let this be good. I beg you, movie gods.

Ripleys mom or grandma?

Seriously tho they are trying damn hard to evoke Ripley.

I doubt she is Ripley's mother. Ripley was born the year before the Prometheus landed on the engineer planet in that movie which means she is about ten or eleven years old when this film takes place. I don't think they need such a direct connection to Ripley in this movie.

I agree that having some connection to Ripley would be stupid. Could you imagine a scene with her looking at a picture of a young girl and someone asks her about it, and the scene goes "It's Ellen, she's my daughter back home.. we need to blow up the ship so she never gets to face an alien herself"

Thanks a lot Ridley, now I'm excited for the film again.

The plot sounds good. The Engineer homeworld as this destroyed paradise overrun with Xenomorphs and other creatures that the Covenant crew come across could be awesome.

Those set pictures are pretty creepy.

lawdy lawdy lawd.

Yeah, the studio asked them to take down the spoiler. It's definitely true. LOL. Oh, boy! :funny:

If that's the case, and if he doesn't pull it off, then this retocnning will hurt 'you know who'.

It's a Star Wars prequel thing where you make a character more important than what he or she was intended to be, by destiny or making things circular.

If he doesn't pull it off, he'll only be hurting himself. Just like Lucas with the prequels. They had no effect on The Force Awakens and current Star Wars.

It's Ridley Scott we're talking about. The man changes his decision 10 times a day on little things. Who's to say this will end up in the final cut for the movie.

That's very true but it's such a miscalculation on his part.

Given that Fox asked the source of the rumor to remove it from the site gives the rumor so much more weight.

That's true, hopefully he will see the reactions to the news and takes it out, we will see.

Personally, who the character is or is not related to, makes no difference to me.
I always decide whether I like a movie based on the overall storyline, not matters of parentage.
