Not too long ago there were rumors going around that Rihanna was being eyed for a role in the MCU. Storm was heavily mentioned in connection to this rumor. But it was also rumored that she and Jennifer Lawrence might be up for a role in Loki, so I thought maybe she would have a small yet significant role as someone like Karnilla the Norn Queen. But then Gugu Mbatha-Raw joined the cast of the series and I thought the role must've went to her.

But the Rihanna rumor had been going around for a while so I thought what if...just what if she was actually being eyed for the next Spider-Man sequel. A small yet significant role that she could play that she would be perfect for if they decide to use Kraven is Calypso. Kraven's love interest who in every incarnation I've seen has been displayed as beautiful and alluring.

It's just a theory since they were supposed to be shooting from July to October I would think they would want to secure someone like Rihanna early as her schedule would be demanding with all of her different business ventures and possibly touring soon due to her impending return to music. If this is or was the case I would be very excited to see one of my favorite artist in the MCU. Let me know what you think below.

I'm not sure what actually originated the rumour, I suspect it was Bosslogic's artwork, however I really like the idea of her as Poison Ivy should the character ever appear in any DC film. Storm would also be a decent shout considering I presume they're recasting for the X-Men's integration into the MCU.

She certainly looks the part for either in my opinion, I've only seen her in Valerian & Battleship & thought acting wise I thought she was perfectly fine. Wasn't she in Oceans 8 as well? I've not seen that yet.

Wow, she actually does look like Storm to be honest. But not sure she would be willing to sign a deal for 10+ years like RDJ and Evans did. But who knows. She's not making music any more so you never know.

Yeah her role in Ocean's 8 was very minor, she also appeared on Bates Motel. I think as far as Storm goes they should go with an actual actress who would be more available to reprise the role and I'd prefer they go with a darker skinned woman as well. As comic accurate as possible.

She looks very cheap nowadays with all her tats and piercings. Liked her better 10 years ago.
She hasn‘t had any big records for ages. Is she even hype any more?
Do kids today know her?
She ain‘t Beyoncé (though I never want Beyoncé in the MCU)

I'd be up for Rhianna playing a villain-of-the-week for one movie but i wouldn't want her in an extended MCU contract, I don't want to be reading about her every time i google "MCU news".

Heard they may even like her for Storm

I doubt they'd be getting Rihanna especially for a X-Men role like Storm...

She did contribute to the soundtrack for Wakanda Forever which was nominated for a Grammy.

This aged so poorly lol.

Despite releasing her last album in early 2016, she's still one of the most listened artists in Spotify. Her music career is just not a priority for her rightnow. I bet kids know her. Lift Me Up was a hit.

#2 at Billboard hot 100 and she performed at the Grammys because the song was nominated this year.

Surely, if you're going to criticize an artist, you should probably do research as well. This year, Forbes Magazine named her as the tenth most powerful woman in media/entertainment industry.
