It was a damn shame he didn't get into the Hall of Fame when he was alive. He better get in now.

RIP. Hope he gets voted in. He deserves it.

He deserved it last year. But they had to vote 2 white people in with that group of 17 from the negro leagues, one of them was a woman who married a black guy and tried to pass herself off as black. The other was a gangster.

It was said to hear this the other day. O'Neill was a great pioneer for baseball, widely respected and always seemed to be in a jovial mood. Apparantly, he was a hell of a storyteller too. It's ridiculous that he hasn't been enshrined yet and that he didn't get a chance to go to Cooperstown and take his place among the other legends. He fell short one vote this past election, but will certainly get in at some point (hopefully next year).
