Bit of a leap.... :o

I AGREE SAWYER.

IMO PIXAR HAS ONLY HAD ONE MISS, CARS 2, IN A LONG LINE OF HITS.

HAVENT GOTTEN AROUND TO SEEING "BRAVE" YET BUT IT SHOULDNT BE TOO HARD TO BEAT "CARS 2"

I'm just glad there is more then one successful animation studio making movies. I'd hate for their only to be Pixar films.

Dreamworks is really improving. I'm actually finding myself keeping a lookout for their new animated films now, something I only used to do for Pixar and Disney.

I THINK "OVER THE HEDGE" WAS AN UNDER-RATED DREAMWORKS MOVIE.

ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ANIMATED MOVIES

You know, I still haven't watched Over the Hedge. Maybe I'll watch it online one of these days.

I think they're improving, but I definitely wouldn't go as far as to say they're kicking Pixar's butt.

Agreed. It's good to see them getting their heads in the game, though.

Just won a four pack of tickets to this movie for this Saturday. I have to bring at least two kids though. Time to wrangle up some cousins.

Imagine if this was live action. Oh oh oh :shock

Something similar in live action may well be on its way albeit in a more traditional Rankin and Bass type of view on the mythos.

Caught this after work today. I know Del Toro has exec produced the last few Dreamworks flicks, but this one really feels like he put his stamp on it moreso than the others. Reviews that have been saying it's The Avengers but with fairy tale legends is pretty much spot on. The fight scenes are crazy as hell and it's actually darker than I thought it would be. Little boys are gonna go nuts over it. It was a fun flick.

Have to say from the little clip I saw, the fight scenes look very impressive.

This is really putting the medium to good use.

Live action:

Zac Efron (or someone even younger) as Jack Frost
George Lazenby could be a wild card for Santa Clause, the more classic version.
Cate Blanchett as Tooth Fairy
Christopher Lee as Boogeyman (him doing another villain with a gothic voice). Or Perhaps Frank Langella.
Robin Williams???? as Sandman (not doing funny voices)

This would mean that the characters will not look as the childish figures they look in this film. More like magical fantasy characters.

Can't wait to see this tomorrow.

I know this will get over taken by Breaking Dawn and with Skyfall and Red Dawn it won't make money. But this is one of the best good feeling holiday movies made in a long time.
If have kids go and see this movie because it is a good family movie. The 3D effects were best i had seen in an animated movie.
8/10
