Happy to hear that this is being worked on, but I'm laughing at this choice of title.

Two Tomb Raider games are in the works and coming one is a sequel to guardian of light. 4 player co-op too.

Good to hear. Really enjoyed the last game.

I'm wonder if since we have two games coming should I make another thread for the temple of Osiris? or do you all want this to be in the same place as third person one? I am leaning towards the former.

I enjoyed the first one, so I'm looking forward to this, but goddamn at that title.

What a dumbass title.:funny: Who approved that ****?

I was so happy and pleasantly surprised to see a sequel not just announced, but also given a tentative release window. I can't wait to see some gameplay and I love how so many elements from the last game are finding some way to return.

And I agree with the popular consensus, the title is cheesy as hell.

Title is cheesy, but I think "rise of the" works as a super-title, for lack of a better word. The title looks much better as a logo rather than all read together, imho.

Not liking the whole "I'm sane because it's my destiny" angle, I think that kinda neuters the incredible stuff we saw her go through in the first one. I'd much rather see a more natural plaguing and then her finding a place for it.

It's good to see the bow is back. Still not sure that makes "sense" but hey, give the people what they want.

I think the title would be better if they dropped the "the" in it. I don't know, saying and reading it, that word sticks out as unneeded. But I really wouldn't be surprised if they changed the title. That almost feels like a working title to me.

I really wish they had just went with Tomb Raider 2: Subtitle

Looking at what they showed from the trailer, I'm assuming there's more wild life to hunt and defend yourself from, and I assume that the bow is there to give a more "stealth" approach to combat, which I am all for. But I was really wondering how they were going to pull off introducing her to a new location with similar weapons without it feeling like they're jumping straight into the Lara from the past games.

We're in a new age/generation of gaming and movies where numbers in titles is starting to become rare, so I'm not surprised that they didn't call this Tomb Raider 2, especially since even with a subtitle, it might have gotten confusion with the original TR2. But I agree, I would have preferred Tomb Raider: Subtitle over this.

How is that any more confusing than the last game being called Tomb Raider?

I think it's also cause she's still an ordinary person for now and it's that easy to buy a silencer for your pistols. not many people have access to those. unless your in a certain occupation and she's used to the bow and arrow . as to the title they just really wanted to avoid the word 2. I'm exspecting the same out of the 4th and 5th installments of mass effect that are being at the same time .

I'm glad the sequel is coming. I thought the the first game was already the "rise" part of her story and we'd already get a much more experienced Lara in this one.

That was only the rise of Tomb Raider, this is rise of THE Tomb Raider.

I honestly don't mind the title, but mostly because the first game was so good. They could have called this "Tomb Raider 2: The Search For More Money" for all I care, I would still end up getting the game. Also, based on the title this is the game where Lara Croft becomes the Tomb Raider. Awesome! :D

lol she barely searched the tombs for that. But that's a n interesting and funny title.

Not really. Last game was more of a survival story. She wasn't really raiding tombs, at least not to the extent of the previous games. I expect this game will have her actually become a tomb raider, who's main purpose is as an adventurer who seeks that stuff out.

It's not, but at the same time, we've seen reboots use the same title as the original so it's not out of the ordinary.

Yeah, the last game was more of a backstory of Lara and it ends with her deciding not to go home, but rather to go out on an adventure to look for something new. I think they made it clear in this one that she's purposely setting out to find something specific that is hidden.
