RIVERDALE

"Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, D) (HDTV)

ROMANCES AND RIVALRIES - With Riverdale High's annual variety show around the corner, Valerie's (guest star Hayley Law) efforts to help Archie (KJ Apa) prepare for his big performance lead to some major fallout between her and Josie (Ashleigh Murray). Meanwhile, Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) investigation into Jason's death brings them to a home for troubled youth and face-to-face with Polly (guest star Tiera Skovbye). Just as her relationship with her mother was on the upswing, an unexpected betrayal sends Veronica (Camila Mendes) spiraling, while Josie deals with her own pressures at home after her overbearing father returns for her performance at the variety show. Finally, Hermoine's (Marisol Nichols) first day at Andrew's Construction finds her and Fred (Luke Perry) growing closer. Madchen Amick also stars. Steve Adelson directed the episode written by Tessa Leigh Williams & Nicholas Zwart (#106). Original airdate 3/2/2017.
Curious to see what a hot mess Polly is.

It's nice to see the pussycats getting some more limelight.

I thought the chick playing Polly was British or something because her accent was all over the place at first.

Well Polly is cray cray...

This was my favorite episode thus far. Loved everything about it.

I love that Kevin quoted the Pussycats theme song and that they used the logo from the cartoon too.

I really enjoyed this episode. Man that whole Cooper family is cray cray (including Betty lol). Is it weird that I ship Betty with Jugghead more than with Archie after this episode?

I'm glad we're finally getting to know The Pussycats! I feel bad for Josie since she is just looking for her father's approval and affection :/ Can't wait for next weeks episode!

I loved how they did the closeup on LASHY, like 'yep- we know, really obvious product placement'.
Bughead is cute, but I think when we see Betty look longingly at the speaker it tells us that her heart still belongs to Archie.
Murder mystery versus managing extracurricular activities probably shouldn't work on parallel storytelling tracks, but it does.
Can't wait for the next episode like no show since 'Mad Men' finished.

so much going on in this ep and all i can see on twitter is #Bughead :funny: that ship name can really use some work though, Bughead sounds like a metahuman i expect to see on the Flash :awesome:

anyway, ever since the comics i thought that Betty and Jughead would be a good pair, but the comics really sold the Archie-Betty pairing all the time-- that this is THE pairing, and the Veronica-Archie is just a fling that Archie should just drop.

and im so glad to see that Polly is actually a real character. i really enjoyed the murder mystery part of this story, and the Andrews Construction subplot as well. Josie specifically i found to be a pain in the neck and this story doesnt really do anything to make me feel sympathetic to her character. the adoration i felt for comics Josie is zero for TV Josie.

Two things about this episode.

One. Archie seems to have a lot of DC Rebirth posters in his room.

Two. Veronica in her Pussycat outfit...
