Hahaha.... That's ridiculous to say.
Yeah... Some of those bands don't exist anymore. What of it? They didn't sell out. I was citing examples of bands that haven't sold out... So they belong on the list.
Also... I don't define "selling out" as signing to a major label or becoming "mainstream"... I define "selling out" as changing one's sound to create more cashflow and compromising the art..
- Franz Ferdinand haven't done that. Listen to their EP's and their most recent LP... They are the same band... playing the same tunes. And if anything, they've gotten better.
- Coldplay (The most successful band on the list)... Excuse me... But Coldplay have created something of substance with each new album they put out, it seems. They haven't become over-produced or changed what they're about one bit, in my opinion. In fact... a lesser band would have sold out by now.
- Bloc Party. Born to sell out? Blahahaha. That's ludicrous. They're one of the few political punk bands that hasn't

:cough:: Green Day ::cough:
- Arctic Monkeys... This one I don't even understand. Why would you call them sell-outs? They've only released one LP... an independent one at that... and have made it abundantly clear that they're not about the hype.. but about musicianship and the music.
And as for listing bands I like... How could you possibly know what I like? And what would posess you to say that I'm randomly naming them off?
Because there are plenty of bands that I enjoy that HAVE, in fact, sold out. Weezer being one of them.
J. Alba's Lover said, "Who hasn't sold out?"... and I responded in kind.
None of the bands on my list are sell-outs.
End of story.
