Rob Zombie to resurrect The Munsters!

I cannot ****ing believe how bad this looks.
I mean, I definitely expected it to be **** with Rob Zombie behind it but I was fool enough to develop a little hope for it when stuff started coming out about it.
For YEARS I’ve been wanting The Munsters to get their time on the big screen. I wanted them to have what The Addams family has.
This is…..not what I wanted.

Why does Lily talk like someone is thumping on her back?
Why does Herman sound like screech?
Why does the whole thing look like a web series from 2005?

I’m mad

For a second I thought Kevin Smith made it.

I feel like all of his films have aged pretty badly, but I wanted to give this the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, this looks terrible. The worse thing being it looks so cheap and definitely like some porno parody. I feel bad honestly, and can't imagine why Rob would be happy with it either.

Zombie has been consistently making bad movies for over a decade, but nothing could have prepared me for this. I’ve seen movies shot on iPhones that look better than this.

I’m just gonna keep telling myself that Zombie wanted to make a porno but the studio said no, so this is what we ended up with.

Twitter is theorizing this has to be a misdirect. Like “Ugly Sonic released on purpose to generate buzz” level misdirect. Like, Zombie at the very least has shown he’s way more technically competent of a filmmaker (taking his writing aside) with even his SS Werewolf trailer that hobbling this bag of **** together couldn’t have taken more than a day for ****s and giggles.

That's the thing. I'm baffled at how awful this looks, and even though most of Robs movies don't work for me, at least they look like films. This is just garbage.

Too bad Munsters and The Addams Family were different networks back in the day, as I would have loved to have seen how both families would have interacted.

Universal couldn't throw a respectable budget behind this?

I just wanna know who the audience is for this movie. It’s not a family friendly movie like The Addams Family. It’s not a horror movie. It’s not a campy comedy like Brady Bunch. So who is going to see this?
