'Rogue Trooper' movie

It should be interesting, especially with Morrison writing it!

I wonder how long it will take them to get this moving and how much the success or failure of Dredd will be a factor in it getting made.

I love Rogue Trooper, moreso than Judge Dredd. It's a simple story really, episodic future war, post-apocalyptic, with a blue-skinned super-soldier as the hero. It has a lot of cinematic potential.

^Definately, used to love the stories as a kid and its tailor made to be a movie in my eyes, really hope we hear more about it in the near future.

i really hope this get made and done well, but the crap dredd's going through i dont see it

sadly the greatest 2000ad story, flesh will never get made

This looks interesting.I'll see this movie when it comes out.

Wether Dredd is a failure or not, I personally doubt it will have much impact in preventing a Rogue Trooper film from being made. Other than both being of futuristic-sci-fi genre, they are pretty distinctive concepts, especially from where mainstream American audiences(unfamiliar with 2000AD) stand.

Agreed. Dredd was a commentary on American authoritarianism. Rogue Trooper had a faint masterless samurai element colouring a fusion of Viet Nam War and American Civil War elements in a sci-fi setting. Outside of the 2000AD label, there is nothing else to connect them.

I'm looking forward to both adaptations at this point. I'd also love to see Strontium Dog on screen.

Its just with them being under the same label which had me curious, I wonder what type of director they would get, Neil Marshall seems tailer made for this IMO.

Man, when I saw this I thought it was based on that video game that came out a long time ago. No idea that game was based on a comic.

^I remember that game, I played it obsessively as a kid, you are talking about the Commodore 64 one arent you?

Good call, Neil Marshall. It seems obvious now you've said it.

I wonder whatever happened to this. I just got the game on PS4 this week and it got me thinking about the movie.

Now Worthingtons stock has gone right down I hope someone else can make a Rogue Trooper movie.

Used to love the comic. Strange it's never managed to hit the big screen - fans have been clamouring for years.

If CBMs will keep making money, somebody will make even Rogue Trooper one day. I'm sure.

Finally, if done right, this could be v special. Loved reading this when I was younger.

Is this is the old PS2 version re-vamped or a brand new PS4 game ?

Same, my brother used to collect the 2000AD comics I and I got into all of them. Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper were always stand outs for me.

It's the PS2 version remastered, it's looks and plays really well considering.
