Rogue's white stripe

We all know that Rogue had a white stripe in the animated series...
What do you think of the way X1 told that story?
Did you prefer something else...
Or do you like it that her hair turned white because of the machine?

It wasn't entirely because of the machine. It was trhe stress that the machine caused Rogue to get her grey/white streak. It's a scientific fact if someone is stressed to a certain limit, their hair goes grey/white. I liked it because I wasn't a fan of her just being born with a streak.

I'll try and have a looksy around for confirmation but I really have no idea where to start..

Hmm, I found this image which seems to imply that she was just born with it.

But i am so sure I read that she dyes it. Gimme a bit, hehe

I think I read it here. I think it was retconned in her newest series

^I'm familiar with that site and I haven't read or seen anything on there with it saying it's dyed. I'm not saying you two are wrong but I have always assumed she was born with the stripe comicwise.

There's NO way cable is that tall, that picture makes him look like the freakin incredible hulk lol.

But the story from x-2 about how she got her stripe is better than how the comics explained it.

I personally hate the way the movie did it. The comics have firmly established that she was born with the white stripe (which she parts now it seems). The dying came from her teenage years with Mystique when she wanted to look older and colored her hair to make two streaks down the side. This was all mentioned in the Rogue series that came out a year ago. People are born with unsual features all the time and it doesn't have to be a mutation. If Storm can be born with white hair why can't Rogue's be natural?

in the comics, she is born with the streak in the middle of her head, as a teen she dyes it to make two streaks, and eventually it goes back. i actually know someone who was born with a white streak in the front of his head, but it was small.

I liked how the movies gave a reason as to why it was there as opposed to her just being born with it. But in the end it doesn't matter either way at all anyways.

When i first saw X-men i remember i thought "Jesus why she doesnt even have the white stripe?" When i saw her hair becoming white, i was in awe, very happy.

And, gothicFLAVOURS, her hair didnt become entirely white because she didnt spend time enough in the machine. If she continued there, im pretty sure her hair would beecome all white.

Yep, I guess so. But for me who knew that white stripe had to be there was kind of off. It's like Mr. Fantastic getting his white hair in the FF movie as a result of the exposition to the cosmic rays. It was great they explained it, but it was kind of weird.

Anyways, it was great they gave an explanation instead of having her with a weird white stripe.

I believe she was born with it. I know I read somewhere too that she dyed it, but I don't think it's entirely accurate!

i have read both of the same things.
dyed and born with.
i prefer the born with it idea.
