This might actually be a thing that is happening. I love the first one so so much but this... I am skeptical. It reads like a bad April Fools joke.

After months of speculation, it appears that fans of Rounders will finally learn what happened to Mike McDermott when he took three stacks of high society to Vegas. Deadline broke the news yesterday that film producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein are returning to Miramax after leaving the company in 2005, and Harv was quick to announce plans for sequels to two of Miramaxs most beloved films: the Academy Award-winning Shakespeare in Love, and Rounders:
Ive discussed making Rounders 2 with Matt Damon and I would say thats going to be instantaneous, Weinstein continued. The guys [writers David Levien and Brian Koppelman] have a great idea, a way to make it more international where you start the card game in Paris, thats all I want to say. There might be a certain beautiful Parisian actress involved in it, and then were off to the racetrack and Vegas with Matty and Edward Norton, and a new supervillain to replace John Malkovich.
That supervillain, according to rumors, will be Robert De Niro, who sure is staying busy these days.
