Rumble In September!!!

The SIXAXIS is getting the rumble feature back in September he means.

I was going to get a PS3 next week but this holds off that decision

Well its yet to be seen if it'll be included in the pack. Meh, I'll just buy to more to make 4. Short starw drawers can have the non-rumblers. :p

What's the big deal about rumble? I hated it and always turned it off...I wanna play the game, not feel like i'm holding a vibrator...maybe all the people complaining about the rumble feature are actually all female?

the rumble was a nice feature to have. It actually affected gameplay in some titles particularly MGS3. I hope its implemented in MGS4

It adds 'something' to the play. Another sense dimension- so it's like you aren't PLAYING the game, you're EXPERIENCING the game.

With every explosion, for example, you arent just watching it on a pixilated screen, you FEEL it too.

Does that make any sense?

The best time I remember it being used was when Psycho Mantis used his mind to move your controller back in MGS. Good times. Good times.

I know what it does and I know what it's for,but I never liked it,I won't use the tilt mode on the sixaxis either.Get yourself a kick ass subwoofer if you wanna "feel" something...hear that nosie? that's your chest caving in.

Each to their own, I guess. But external vibrations caused by subwoofers are good for the full on WAR experience [say, a frantic FPS], not too great for the intimate vibrations caused by say the controller when you sneak up on a guard in MGS.

It adds a tension and a gravity to the experience, that something is in your hand and reacting to the situation- not just a external 'sound' cranked up to volume 12 to create a synthetic vibration.

But yes, I do see what you're getting at.

Yeah! Or when Naomi had you place the controller on your arm and then vibrated it, like it was actually healing you, that was awesome.

so....basically, if i don't have a PS3 yet...but i want rumble in my controllers.....i should wait till Sept?

Or, buy your PS3 now, give me or ID, then buy a rumble controller in September :p

I don't care about rumble, no biggie. I'll buy the PS3 in a few months.
