Saw the trailer today. Story looks boring and the photo looks atrociously annoying. A big no thanks from me. Not a fan of Reynolds either.

I'm looking forward to this, eager to see Ryan Reynolds in a serious role. Then of course Denzel Washington is always a joy to watch.

Just saw the trailer, looks pretty sick. Reynolds needs a comeback, big time.

Yeah, it's interesting...As big of a celebrity Reynolds is, he hasn't been in a lot of great movies and a not in a lot of box office "smashes" either...

I liked The Change-Up. It was nothing new (the whole "we switched bodies" thing has been done to death) but I still thought it was hilarious, mostly because of Reynolds' character. He was such a perfect d-bag.

Anyway, still looking forward to this. Although I'm always cautious of movies that come out during the Crap Season (January-early March).

sweet I had no idea that this was filmed in South Africa, been wondering what the hell Ryan Renolds was doing hanging around Cape town.

this film is coming out in like 2 weeks yet i see little to no promotion

Very good trailer. Denzel is such a gripping actor by default but when he plays those larger than life characters, it's on. I'm definitely seeing this.

I Was lucky enough to see this film last night, and it doesn't disappoint, probably my fav film of 2012 so far.

9/10

Going to go see this either tonight or Saturday night. Going with some people to the upscale place called Cinebistro which is a movie theater, bar/lounge, bowling alley, and resturant all in one. :woot:

keep hearing while it is solid safe house does'nt bring anything new

^^Can't really see what "new" stuff anyone would expect.

On the plus side they showed the trailer for Bourne Legacy, and it looked pretty decent.
Saw Safe House today and thought it was okay, just thought there should of been more action sequences with Tobin. It just didn't seem to click very well imo. Also, I thought some of the shaky camera stuff sucked balls. Ryan Reynolds did a good job I thought, and Denzel was good as a bad guy again.
Its at least a flick to check out once I guess, and maybe a dvd/blu ray pickup. Sometimes these flicks are better watching at home.

^^Don't know anything about the black list stuff (I doubt the average moviegoer does either). I meant just going off of the previews, it seemed like pretty standard action movie stuff.

Like him or not him, but Devin Faraci made a good point: He said that the overly saturated color filters and shaky camera makes Safe House look dated. Soo mid 2000's!

The film is getting respectable reviews. I'm not chomping at the bit to see it, but I am a fan of Denzel Washington. If I'm out and about I may check it out. But I'm also quite happy going through episodes of the 60s Batman TV show and Lois and Clark at the moment.
