I say all the movies have their sad scenes. But one that I always liked was the scene where Peter tells Aunt May his guilt about his involvement with the death of Uncle Ben, plus all the build up to that (Aunt May saying she wants to find the one responsible, and the scene at the grave yard).
When I first saw the film when it came out I was kind of young. I understood it and knew it was a downer, but now that I'm older I've gotten into it alot more. I like how music wasn't played at all, and I like the setting (kitchen) and the lighting. Tobey is a good actor, very underused. And I suppose that's better than spamming the hell out of him. But I have to give that scene props.:spidey::up:

It's a good scene, and one I'm not sure ever happened in the comics. It's interesting how it played out.

Agree, great scene! I also really like Rosemary Harris as Aunt May (the hero-speech was great too imo).

When Aunt May gave Peter the $20 on his birthday, and then broke down crying about how much she misses Ben.

Great scene.

Spider-man 2 has so many lil tidbits of greatness and this scene is one of them. His relationship with Aunt May was well used in Spider-man 2. You really missed her in SPider-man 3. They used her as a crutch in Spider-man 3 and it was really lacking the emotional density in Spider-man 2

One of my favorites.

I'd also like to mention the music that starts after Peter says to Ock "you once spoke to me about inteligence" REALLY is emotional.

When Pete sits down with Otto and his wife. The dialogue made me cry!
