Sam Hamm's original B'89 script

I was actually referring to Keyser Suhi but yeah Soze is also a great posters as are th others you mentioned.

I meant Sushi, too. I always confuse those two when it comes to the names.

I hope you do, I'd like another thougthfull voice in there.

Coming from you, that means a lot. Thanks man. I think I'm going to give it a try.

I wouldn't classify myself as a Burtonite nor a Nolanite. Just a guy who happens to prefer Burton's films(mostly).

As for Hamm, I was reading a little about him earlier. He hasn't done many movies, just a few now and then. But he writes comics as well, he co-created Ducard. It's cool knowing he's a real comic book writer hehe.

Maybe the Begins' Ducard-Ra's merging was a written revenge against the Joker-Joe Chill one. :oldrazz:

And if you're gonna say nit wasn't Hamm's guilt, then well, I just changed the facts for humorous purposes.

I'm the same way. I joined this site because I'm a Batman fan first and foremost and wanted to discuss the movies and comics with as many fellow fans as possible. With the exception of Big Fish I actually haven't liked anything Tim Burton made from Sleepy Hollow on including Sleepy Hollow itself. So I personally wouldn't call myself a Burtonite as it may make me seem like some unapolegetic fan of the man though I did grow up enjoying his early work.

I'm here because Batman is the greatest fictional character ever in my opinion. If me prefering Burton's Batman films over Nolan's Batman Begins makes people want to slap that label on me then so be it cause at the same time it's not that serious. I know where I stand as a fan of the character and the comics for the past 20 years of my life. If people want to assume they figured me out just because of that preference then so be it, it's just the internet.

I still think he should be given a shot at another Batman movie screenplay someday.

I agree word by word, including the Burton movies, Big Fish and everything.

Read this again the other day...

Love just how much it seems to be darker then the film we got (which was still pretty dark).

Liked the whole love triangle between Wayne, Vale and Knox as it was not all that conventinol and I also liked how Knox dies at the end and Vickies speech at his grave.

Can you imagine if Robin had been in the movie?

After all, he was cast. I simply can't quite get my head around a 12-year old kid fighting the Joker alongside Keaton, it would have diluted the essential outcast, solitary aspect of Batman (and all Burton's heroes). It's hard to draw comparrisons with the Kilmer and O'Donnell partnership as O'Donnell was, more or less, an adult Robin.

However....it would have just been fascinating to see.

I think Burton could have made Robin work.

I'm glad Robin wasn't in Burton's movies. I don't hate Dick or Tim but I prefer Batman solo.

Oh I'm glad too don't get me wrong but I'm not one of those fans that thinks you can't bring robin to the screen at all etc...you know the type.

It will happen but not with Bale & Nolan at the helm.

Well honestly I dont think much is happening with Nolan at the helm but thats neither here nor there.

Robin does have a place in the batman mythos and certainly a purpose as much as fans would like to disagree. I'd like it done like in the Dark Victory series.

BATMAN is a beautiful masterpiece, the only thing I'd have gotten rid of was Joker being the Wayne's killer, and The Joker dying.

But otherwise the best Batman movie ever made, sure those 2 things may not have been faithful to the comics, but it had the spirit of Batman, something the dull Nolan movie does not have, he's just trying to make a nolan movie, and that poor excuse for a Joker in TDK can go to hell.
