So what is Sam's catch phrase in this movie going to be? It's gotta contain the F bomb.

Suggestions.

I doubt if the F bomb will be allowed.

I'll have to check out my Spirit comics and see if "The Octopus" had a catch phrase.

I wouldn't mind hearing, "I'm the Goddamn Octopus." As long as it's only once.

Sam Jackson hasn't said his "catchphrase" in a number of films.

Snakes on a Plane's producers just tricked you into thinking it's actually something important. :o

Enough is enough...I have had it with these...

That was the Snakes on a Plane catchphrase. Sam's catchphrase varies all of the time. I'd say that it started with Pulp Fiction.

SAY WHAT ONE MO' GODD**N TIME MOTHA****! I DARE YA!

It just has to involve MF

Lol, I hope so too.

I hope there is no 'catch phrase'

Am I the only person in the world who doesn't like Sam L? He is in every damn movie

yeah Sparta* you might be the only person who is not a fan. I hope he doesn't have a catchphrase. it would just make it better

I hope Sam plays it more like Mr Glass from Unbreakable

Possibly, I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about the man. I think the fact that he's been in so many things is why people love him. He's done everything any geek could possibly want to do. He's been immortalized in a comic, been in a comic movie, been in Star Wars, done anime and voiced for a video game.

I don't know if I want a catch phrase, but I'm sure something will get people going, whether it's unintentional or not.

Yeah, of course he's going to have that line that everyone is going to remember and say over and over again.

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but is The Ock in the comics black?

No.

That is a bit dumb. I assume they will show his face in the movie.

If they are just going to show his hands in the movie they should have hired James Renson.

His face will not be hidden in the film.

[/quote]I was wondering if the Octopus in the books was black and heard he only gets his hand shown, but from what I see the man's white, they had to ruin another character with affirmative action. You do not have to put a black person in everything damn it!

Bring the characters to life, do not change them!

Sam's generic. All he can do is spout the F word.

That's all he's famous for, and the poeple who go nuts over that crap just shows how dumb they are.

If you never saw him in the books, only his hands what does it matter what race he is. It was hardly like it was anything that defined him as a character

wow, Spider-Bat you sound really ignorant, Have you seen 1408 it's because Sam is black the reason he's in it, the man has a very creepy voice when needed and the way he speaks will define the character for sure, If Frank Miller is as good and as smart then he won't be showing the face of Sam Jackson, if the the Octopus never let anyone see his face, we the audience definately will not.

The AICN set report had a full description of Jackson in costume as the Octopus. His face was not covered and he had make-up on apparently.

that's odd considering he's supposed to show up in shadows and his face is never supposed to be shown.

If I recall, sometimes the Octopus does show up in disguise in the comics, but it's his voice that the Spirit always recognizes and the trademark gloves that the reader sees that reveals his identity.

I would think that whatever face we see in the movie will end up being NOT his real face. CHeck out yesterday's The Spirit #12 to see what I mean.
