Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3rd will be released for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS. During the press conference the trailer only showed the release date for Vita, but it is unlikely that Koei Temco Games will stagger the release Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3rd.

Samurai Warriors Chronicle 3 Introduces A New Time Attack Stage mode. October 21, 2014 . 12:28pm

In the Martial Arts Training Facility, you’ll have various objectives such as defeating characters and reaching certain destinations, and the goal is to basically amass as many points possible

In addition to having over 50 commanders from Samurai Warriors 4, Samurai Warriors Chronicle 3 loads up on a bunch of new “what if” stories. Here’s a look at what else is new, with a mode that will have players take on stages full of enemies for handsome rewards.

In the Martial Arts Training Facility, you’ll have various objectives such as defeating characters and reaching certain destinations, and the goal is to basically amass as many points possible.

The key is to use the character change system wisely, and earn points. Again, missions will have various conditions going on, so you’ll need to think about different factors.

Once you start a game in the Martial Arts Training Facility mode, you’ll have a time limit of five minutes. Once you clear a mission, you’ll get some more time extended. As you play through, you’ll gain points, and can also get them from enemy drops.

After clearing a certain amount of missions, an escape opens up. Basically, players will have the choice of either trying to get as many points possible within the allotted time as they go on, or do their best to gain more time so they can keep it going for longer.

Here’s a look at some of the guest characters who will appear as enemies in this mode:

Orochi and Sun Wukong.

Kyubi and Lu Bu.

The points acquired in this mode can be used to purchase various equipments and other items.

There’s also a leaderboard to show off some of the best players based on their points. The rankings get reset after a certain period of time. There’s also a class system which offers players more ways to get rewards.

Samurai Warriors Chronicle is slated for release in Japan on December 4, 2014 for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 rated in Australia
Published 17 hours ago. 21 comments.

Koei Tecmo's next localization announcement leaked.

SWC3-Rated-Australia.jpg
The Australian Classification Board has rated Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3.
The game, which launched for PS Vita and 3DS in Japan last December, is rated only for PS Vita in Australia. Usually, Australian Classification Board ratings are listed as “Multi Platform,” even if the game is released on a single platform.
Koei Tecmo has been announcing new game localizations lately, with Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess last week and Ar nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star this morning, so we expect to hear about this one shortly.
Thanks, NeoGAF.

Samurai Warriors 4-II coming west in September
Published 2 hours ago. 20 comments.

Samurai Warriors 4 update adds Naomasa Ii, Endless Castle, more.

SW4-II-West-Ann.jpg

Samurai Warriors 4-II is coming to North America on September 29 and Europe on October 2, Koei Tecmo announced. It will be available at retail and digitally for PlayStation 4, and digitally across PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PC via Steam.
Here’s the rundown, via Koei Tecmo:
Samurai Warriors 4-II is a hero-focused saga. Unlike the previous Samurai Warriors games that focused on delivering their narrative by exploring the various regions of feudal Japan, this title casts a spotlight on the characters themselves and tells their stories through 13 exciting new chapters. These chapters revolve around nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three fan-favorites from previous titles and a brand new addition to the samurai roster (Naomasa Ii).
The game will feature many new and improved features as the battle, action and character development systems have been revamped. It also introduces a highly challenging and richly rewarding mode called: the Endless Castle. Players can choose to enter and struggle to survive for as long as possible, or to play against the clock and see how far they can get up the castle’s increasingly difficult levels!

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 Coming To 3DS And Vita This June In The West. May 20, 2015 . 1:50am

Koei have confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS version of Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 will indeed be released in the West.

A couple of weeks ago, Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 was rated for release in Australia, indicating that Koei Tecmo intend to release the game in the West. The catch was that only the PS Vita version of the game was rated, with no mention of the 3DS version of the game.

Now, Koei have confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS version of Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 will indeed be released in the West. The 3DS version includes bonus outfits based on Nintendo characters such as Link and Zelda from Hyrule Warriors.

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 will be released on June 24th in Europe. A North American release date hasn’t been announced yet, but should be revealed shortly.

Samurai Warriors 4-II On PC Uses Character Models From PS4, Says Koei. May 22, 2015 . 2:03pm

Character models, at the very least, will be PS4 quality.

The PC version of Samurai Warriors 4-II will use character models from the PlayStation 4 version of the game, Koei Tecmo Europe said to an enquiring player over Twitter.

In response to a fan asking if the textures of the PC version would be on-par with the PS4 build of the game, Koei responded: “As much as we know the character models are based on PS4 quality for SW4-II PC, we will keep you updated.”

In the past, PC users have criticized Koei Tecmo over PC versions of their games. Two examples of this are Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends and Dead or Alive 5: Last Round not taking advantage of the platform’s strengths, and in some cases looking inferior to their PlayStation 4 counterparts. For example, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on PC is missing certain graphical effects that are present on the PS4. (In fact, that game is still missing online multiplayer—a standard feature on consoles—as well.)

It’s worth pointing out that Koei Tecmo have only suggested that Samurai Warriors 4-II’s character models specifically are based on the PS4 version of the game. How the rest of the game looks on PC remains to be seen.

Yes, Samurai Warriors 4-II Will Have Online Multiplayer On PC.May 26, 2015 . 3:31pm

Things are looking relatively promising for the PC port of Samurai Warriors 4-II.

Things are looking relatively promising for the PC port of Samurai Warriors 4-II. Shortly after stating that the PC version of the game would contain character models based on the PlayStation 4 build, Koei Tecmo also confirmed that the PC version will include online multiplayer.

Koei revealed the tidbit about online multiplayer to an enquiring fan over Twitter, who asked if the option would be included in the PC build of the game.

This is important because the PC version of Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends was released without online multiplayer, whereas the option for online was included in the console versions of the game. The same goes for Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires.
Meanwhile, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on PC lacks online as well, although Koei Tecmo have pledged to add the option via a free future update. Just when this update will be released has not been announced, though.

Samurai Warriors 4-II will be released this October.

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 debut English trailer, screenshots

Western release due out for PS Vita and 3DS next month.

SWC3_05-27-15.jpg

Koei Tecmo has released the first English trailer and screenshots for Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, coming to PS Vita and 3DS via digital download on June 26 in Europe (a North American release date should be confirmed shortly; we’ll update this post).
Here’s the full rundown, via Koei Tecmo:
This title, developed in continuous celebration of the franchise’s 10 year anniversary, aims to bring a brand new version of the Samurai Warriors universe to western Nintendo 3DS™ players for the first time since the IP launched in 2011, as well as offer PlayStation Vita fans the opportunity to delve deeper into the rich and intricate storylines of Sengoku era Japan.
Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 incorporates the best elements ever developed for Samurai Warriors, including the detailed customization mode and battle system of Samurai Warriors 4 and the Challenge Mode, which tests players’ speed and efficiency as they fight against the clock and thousands of enemies simultaneously!
The story mode, which can be played controlling either a uniquely customised character or one of the much loved, history- inspired, Samurai, can unfold in multiple ways offering numerous resolutions to large scale battles and leading to multiple endings affected by the players’ choices, actions, and affiliations.
Exclusively created to offer exhilarating action on the go, Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 will fully utilise the Nintendo 3DS StreetPass and SpotPass as well as the PlayStation Vita touch screen.

So, we're doing a little clean up around here, specifically on threads that are being ran without activity. I'm throwing out some feeler posts to see if anyone is actually paying attention to some of these threads. I'll leave this out there for a day or two, if there's no response from anyone other than the OP, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread.

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 Does Not Include Nintendo Costumes In The West. May 28, 2015 . 4:33pm

The Nintendo 3DS version of Samurai Warriors 3 Chronicles will not include Nintendo-themed costumes for its Western release.

The Nintendo 3DS version of Samurai Warriors 3 Chronicles will not include Nintendo-themed costumes for its Western release, Siliconera can confirm.

In Japan, costumes based on Link and Zelda from Hyrule Warriors could be unlocked in the full game by playing a demo released via the Nintendo eShop. However, when we got in touch with Koei Tecmo to find out if these costumes would be available in the West, we were informed that “those costumes are Japan-exclusive”.

Samurai Warriors 3 Chronicles will be released on Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita on June 30th in North America and June 24th in Europe.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires Announced For PS4, PS3, And Vita. June 2, 2015 . 4:05am

Samurai Warriors 4 is getting and Empires version, which adds more of a strategic element to the hack-and-slash title.

Samurai Warriors 4 is getting and Empires version, which adds more of a strategic element to the hack-and-slash title, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, Koei Tecmo announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima]

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires will add more strategic elements than ever, Koei claim, including a new “Resident Domestic Administrations” feature. There will also be a room where you can work on developments and issuing commands to the military commanders by configuring their placements, making it much easier than before.

The story of the game will advance as you take suggestions from military commanders, and depending on the affinity between the military commanders that have been placed in the battlefield, there will be different effects going on in the Resident Domestic Administrations.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires’ concept isis “the ultimate land-conquering Musou,” but rather than being able to force your way through with powerful military commanders, it will be balanced in a way where you must carefully prepare everything through internal affairs before having the action take place.

The base of the game comes from Samurai Warriors 4-II. While there won’t be any new Musou commanders from the 56 that appears in Samurai Warriors 4-II, there will be over 100 female military commanders.

Additionally, the game will have marriage events, edit features, and more. Samurai Warriors 4: Empires will release in Japan on September 3, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.

Well, three days and no response. I think it's safe to lock it down. On the chance that you are an infrequent poster and happen to log in and see this closed and want to continue following, PM me and we'll see what we can do.

Suggestion to OP: If you're really fond of releasing new for this, I would suggest creating a dedicated thread to the Samurai Warriors or simply a thread for the Koei Warrior games (in reference to Samurai, Dynasty and Orochi). To be honest, I think it would be better just to post that news in the Gaming Lounge since it seems there's no many here who are interesting in those franchises, but a dedicated thread is okay.
