If you think about it all of Spider-Man's villains have big defining stories about them that make them an archvillian. Green Goblin is obviously the Gwen Stacy story line. And maybe the clone saga. Doc Ock has the death of Cap Stacy. He also has all of the Sinister Six stories under his belt(he was always the leader). Kraven has his last hunt. Venom has his first appearence(easily his biggest story), and his first big fight with Spider-Man story. Carnage (and again maybe Venom) have Max. Carnage. My point is all of these main villains are big enough to hace an entire story built around them. I have nearly every single Spider-Man comic. I can't seem to find a really good Sandman story. What story is there that can carry an entire movie. And again maybe that's why we have like 20 villians this movie as well as Sandman.

That Does Make Alot Of Sense! I Dont Think There Are Any Major Sandman Storylines. I Think Your Right About The 20 Villians Reason.

Sweet spoilers there!

You didn't receive much attention as a child, huh?

Dude, what's Your Problem? NOT TRYING TO START A FIGHT BUT You Dont Really Need To Harass Anyone.

Can't you see that Tron is an "Original Badass". Too bad that only applies to internet boards! LOL!!:down

I'm just sick of people posting things in the Spoilers forum that do not belong here.

I don't want to fight either, but there are different forums for a reason.

Did you really "Laugh Out Loud" as you typed that statement, djb?

No, but I did have a "thumbs down" as I typed it.

Yeah GG and Doc Ock had defining stories in the comics and Sandman didn't really have one, but the defining stories for the villains used in the comics so far haven't been used in the movies... they've had new defining stories... so i'm not too concerned with the fact that Sandman doesn't have one, especially if it's not gona be used. I think he could easily hold an entire story by himself, especially since he's gona have a kid and his wife

Maybe thats the reason he is in it, Simple story to tell and share with Green Goblin2 and Eddie Brocks Story line. Apart from Flint stealing money to save his daughter the rest can be fillied in by Sam.

sandman's technically not even the main villian in SM3. he's jus there to...mix things up. add some conflict and drama.

sandman is the main villain, and he's awesome.

oh my stars and garters

I have no idea what makes sandman so special either.

The only two big Sandman stories I can think of would be his first appearance and the New Sinister Six where Venom bit him and it killed him.And Venom is supposedly in this film...but no,they would never go with something dumb like that. They came up with good new stories for GG and Ock I'm sure they will for Sandman too.

Sandman doesn't have a "Big Story". But he's been apart of many very good ones. The reason being that he's been all over the place. First as an enemy of Spidey. then for a number of years as a member of the Frightful Four. Then he fought the Hulk in several solo stories. And then of course we have the dark era when he was a "hero".

He's a terrific character with a great visual power, and makes for exciting action scenes.

This is true. Rami most likely was attracted to Sandman's character as a person. Just like the contradictions in the other villains lives, Sandman has had his life changing moments.

It was right to ask that question though. Until now, I've always considered Sandman one of the lesser villains. Middle class, like Kraven who probably shouldn't have a film to themselves, compared to the High class Venom, GG, and Ock and the Low Class, Shocker, Mysterio, and Scorpion.

You didnt.......why......the chances of us seeing venom in one of these movies was inevitable

it's funny, but whenever I talk to people about the Spiderman movies who are only slightly aware of the comic book storylines, they all say they'd want to see either Doc Ock, Venom or Sandman in the movie. An overwhelming amount tend to say Sandman, so it seems that the typical moviegoer type would like Sandman just as much as the rest of them. He has a very digitally impressive power and a lot of possibilities as far as fighting goes. I think it's going to be great.

Sandy HAS no "big story". He is simply there for effects. In my fear, cheap, roll your eyes, take you out of the story effects... but effects none the less. :down :(

60 foot @#$$%$#%%#$#$%$ Pile of Kitty Litter.

He won't have a big story. But it will be about his wife and daughter throughout the movie and his relationship with Harry Osbourne.
