Saved by the Bell Rebooted

Just want to say I'm glad they didn't split up Zack and Kelly for this. That would've been a huge mistake if you want to keep the fans of the original series.

Watching the first 2 episodes and it isn't that bad. I think it is trying a little to hard to be self aware that the Bayside kids dont feel like actual people and are to hammy.

Jesses son....there is no way she would raise an airhead jock. That is just totally unrealistic.

Daisy is easily the best character and seems the realist.

Zach 2.0.....missing the charm of his father and definitely not being the audience surrogate hurts him.

Finished the show and overall i enjoyed it. The OGs were used in good ways and sprinkled throughout the season well enough that i was never truly missing them. Though Zach/Kelly seemed to spend most of the time in heightened versions of themselves.

Really enjoyed the finale.

Mac/Zach's son probably needs stronger characterization to help live up to Zachs legacy.

Sad to hear. Hopefully they do a tribute to his character in S2.

Are they going to say he died in the show too or some other reason he hasn't appeared?

BTW I didn't even know this series was already released.

Who knows. The show was just renewed for a 2nd season. He's currently in space I think in the show.

Maybe this is just me being cynical because I know how much of a rift there was between Diamond and the rest of the cast, but did that clip come off as disingenuous to anyone else? Like they did it out of obligation rather than genuinely wanting to pay their respects to him. In most other scenes on shows where they honor a costar they've lost, there's always an "I'm gonna miss him" or "I can't believe she's gone" and tears are shed. Here it almost seems like they're just talking about "that weird kid who went to high school with us" with no mention that he's passed away other than Jessie vaguely saying "He was so funny" in past tense.

Must have been really poor ratings for Peacock to cancel.

Gotta say...i'm a little disappointed. I quite enjoyed this sequel.

Sad it ended so soon but had a feeling it would be cancelled.

They made Showgirls canon and it was hilarious

Feels like a move that a Netflix might make, but Peacock has so little in their arsenal at this point, I’m really surprised they wouldn’t at least throw the show a bone and give them another season to wrap up.

Can't say I'm disappointed.

I thought it was bad. It honestly felt like a parody of the original show.

Oh well.
