I wouldn't be surprised to see half the dang cast of Grey's on the show at some point. This is good news for Mellie fans. though She really needs someone to love her since her husband doesn't.

What I still want to know is what happen to make Fitz hate her so much? They were fine after she was raped, but at some point things changed.

It's about time!

Scandal's first lady Mellie (Bellamy Young) is finally going to get some attention from the opposite sex. (And thankfully we're not talking about more horrific flashbacks of her with Fitz's dad.)

The Closer's Jon Tenney has landed a recurring role on the ABC drama as a potential love interest for Mellie, TVLine.com reports.

Few details are known about Tenney's character, Andrew, other than he is described as handsome and charismatic. Tenney will appear on the show sometime next year. After next week's fall finale, Scandal returns on Feb. 27 for its final eight episodes of the just-reduced season.

Tenney has recently recurred on The Newsroom and The Closer spin-off, Major Crimes. He most recently starred on the short-lived TNT drama King & Maxwell.

Olivia Pope’s overworked Gladiators can finally make use of their saved-up vacation days: ABC has trimmed Scandal‘s Season 3 episode order from 22 to 18, TVLine has learned.
The network gave no official explanation for the cutback, but it’s safe to say the decision was made in response to the real-life pregnancy of leading lady Kerry Washington. The actress’ spring due date would’ve made shooting those final four episodes next to impossible (and, according to sources, writing Olivia out of the show for an extended period of time was not an option.)

As it is, shooting around Washington’s growing baby bump will prove challenging enough for the series — which, as TVLine previously reported, has chosen not to incorporate the pregnancy into Olivia’s storyline.
Scandal will have aired 10 episodes as of next week’s fall finale, which means eight episodes will remain when the show returns on Feb. 27.

I'm actually glad about this because it will hopefully force the storylines to be more cohesive while also making the arc more compelling.

At this point with things still they way they are between Olivia and Fitz, I want to see more of James and Cyrus. There marital woes make for awesome television.

Wonder how much filming they have left in the season, since Kerry was very visibly preggers at the Golden Globes yesterday. Hope they don't have too much trouble hiding it, but it's not gonna be easy.

I hope with the shorten season they moved the production schedule around a bit. It's not going to be fun watching hide the belly, and I'm certainly not a fan of all the jackets and capes. One of the things I love about the show is the fashion. I'm also going to miss my Olitiz action. I need at least one good Olitz scene every other 8 episodes...lol

TVLine has learned that Shonda Rhimes’ fast-paced drama is currently casting the guest-starring roles of 15-year-old Jerry (Jr.?), who is described as “quiet, smart and intense,” and his younger sister Karen, who comes across as “polished, self-assured and older than her years.”

Dylan Minnette for Jerry, anyone…? Too old?

WOW.... I didn't think we would ever see the Grant kids. That's interesting....very interesting. Last we heard about them was when Fitz was going through drama after the Defiance fallout and was drinking heavily. I wonder how Shonda will incorporate them. You know they have to know about the affair between Liv and Fitz.

I got Darby Stanchfield to elaborate for me – a bit – on the scenes she recently filmed with a cast member she’d never worked with before. “It has to do with the other world, the White House world,” she said of the first-time pairing. “It’s a role that Abby’s not used to being in, but sometimes Olivia Pope is busy and short-staffed. so Abby’s got to step in. It made for some really nice scenes.”

Scandal is rounding out the first family.

The ABC drama has cast Dylan Minnette and Madeline Carroll to play Jerry and Karen, the children of President and First Lady Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Mellie (Bellamy Young).

Minnette has appeared on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Grey's Anatomy, while Carroll has guest-starred on Grey's and Private Practice. Both actors also had small roles on Lost — Minnette as the son of Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox) and Carroll as Annie, the friend of young Ben Linus.

Scandal returns from hiatus on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 10/9c. Jerry and Karen will make their debuts in Episode 15 of Season 3.

Homeland star Nazanin Boniadi has joined the cast of Scandal in a recurring role, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Boniadi's character is being kept under wraps, but she will debut on the show's Feb. 27 midseason return and recur through the end of the season, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news.

Boniadi most recently played analyst Fara Sherazi during Homeland's third season. Her other TV credits also include How I Met Your Mother, 24, Grey's Anatomy and General Hospital.

Scandal returns on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 10/9c on ABC. Who do you think Boniadi is playing?

^^I hope she is not playing a terrorist...though I wonder if she's connected to Harrison's side plot with Adnan Salif. I just hope it's not a terrorist. I am so sick of the spy stuff. That has to be over soon. I want the rest of the season to be nothing but the re-election campaign for the most part.

Hmmm...so Cyrus and Harrison definitely means Adnan Salif and since it was Cyrus who approved Salif coming in the country... Maybe Cyrus might have a change of heart about his wicked ways and try and help Harrison.

Not surprised about the kids being screwed up. Look at their crazy ass parents. I just wonder how much interaction they will have with Olivia.

Fitz/Olivia/Mellie is precisely what you’ll get – though not in the best of ways – as the midseason premiere opens. (All told, “Olitz” fans can expect :-O :*-( and : D moments, though not in that order.) Oh, and the lunch date teased in this video? You can only imagine what Mellie proposes in the name of making a “respectable woman” out of her rival.
