Aloha,
Something I've always done with the Spider-Man movies
This may be a little harder unless you know your Black Panther comics.
Name the comic-first appearance

`1-Killmonger
2- Wakanda underground city
3-Heart shaped herb
4-Dora Milaje
5- Vibrainium weave Panther suit
6-M'Baku
7-Everett Ross
8-Kimoyo beads
9-Ulysses Klaw
10-Queen Ramonda
11-Shuri
12-Panther fights a rhino

There's more but let's go from here.

Aloha,
Okay, looks like this is a good opportunity for a teaching moment.

So we should know that Black Panther got his start in Fantastic Four #52 and 53

Aloha,
Movies always deviate from the book in some ways. While Cooglar and company really did stick to the spirit of the Black Panther books, there are several things that the MCU has changed.
1-In the MCU, T'Challa already has Black Panther powers as seen in Civil War. This means that he must have taken the heart shaped herb, before his official recognition as the new Black Panther and King of Wakanda.
This is confirmed in the Black Panther movie where Zuri, gives T'Challa something to drink that will remove his BP powers.
2-To be the new Black Panther in the comics you had to fight the 6 greatest fighters in Wakanda at the same time (think Bruce Lee movie). This means the action in Black Panther sequel should be ramped up.
3-After fighting the 6 best, you then have to make a perilous climb up a mountainside to get to the heart shaped herb. No cultivation as seen in the movie.
4- In the movie Okoyo is referred to as the greatest fighter in Wakanda. By way of who is the Black Panther-The Black Panther is the greatest fighter in Wakanda in the comics.
5-While Shuri is given credit for being the smartest in the MCU, both T'Challa and Killmonger have Ph.Ds in the comics.T'Challa also has several other advanced degrees
These are minor changes at best but good to always keep in mind the difference between comic book canon and movie presentation.

Interesting to see the price jumps in the comics.

How popular was BP in the comic genre back when he began? I imagine it was kinda big news

Aloha,
At one point Capt. America left the Avengers and introduced BP to the group. BP appears in many issues of the early Avengers. You can't imagine BP being a second stringer based upon what he is now, but just like Iron Man and Thor, there was no big demand for their comics back in the day. BP was liked but just not a major seller.
