Sci Fi Channel has a new name...

The more I read about it...the more i'm actually looking forward to it. Sounds like a little more gate travel than Atlantis...and it's for sure going to be darker. Maybe not BSG depressing...but darker than the previous series.

Is that a slam?? I don't think I appreciate that:oldrazz:

LOL not really...I could have made it one though!! But I fought the temptation! :P
It's just too depressing for me...I know others like it. that's cool

I said the same thing when I first started watching the DVDS. This show is depressing. I like my shows to have a glimmer of hope, even if it's a small one.

Well a civilization that once had billions was reduced to less than 50,000.....how cheerful do you expect it to be??

there's hope in that show....you just have to look for it

Just watch scenes with Lee Adama. He's gonna be Jesus by the end of the series.

Maybe they could...I don't know...hang a few brightly colored balloons in the hallways. Oh and during really emotional engaging scenes they could put somethign from the Top 40 for the background music. And instead of dark colored uniforms...maybe bright yellow?

Heh, "SyFy." It still looks stupid to me. Warehouse 13 sounds interesting, though, and it's on Hulu. I'll give that a try. Stargate Universe as well, since I've watched every other Stargate series. I'm not expecting too much from SGU, though.

The comments about the new name somehow "not scaring people away" puzzle me, though. "SyFy" is pronounced exactly the same as "Sci Fi" and it's still going to have primarily science fiction content. So... where's the big change that's supposed to bring new viewers in?

The only good show Syfy is going to have is Stargate.

*smacks*

Hey Eureka still good to watch, still hate them putting wrestling and non scifi movies now

The name change is stupid too

I like Eureka lots....Allison & Jo Lupo....wrestling is on ONCE a week for 1 hour...its not going to kill you

it was scaring the normal folk...as long as Eureka is still there and I can catch some Stargate reruns on occasion, Im good

I tried watching Eureka a couple times and just couldn't get into it. I liked it, but I just didn't have enough interest to keep watching.

I got to meet Colin Ferguson (Sheriff Carter) at Comic Con last year...really cool guy

Eh, whatever. With as much horror as they show, they haven't really been "Scifi" for a while.

Splinter was decent....and its really the only non premium channel that shows horror with any regularity....

Next on SyFy, Hannah Montana in Space. She literally gets the best of both worlds.

I can understand the name change from a business perspective since they can't copyright the "scifi" name. But they could come up with something better than SyFy.

I like Eureka season 1, but lost interest in season 2. I might see the new season of Eureka (which is the back end of season 3 or is it season 4?)
