Science of Smallville

How is that so if he basically just had Lex injected with kryptonian DNA?

That's what I meant. Fine injected Lex with whatever the hell he injected him with, Lex then had all of the abilities a Kryptonian would have on Earth, making his body perfect for Zod (a phantom, apparently) to inhabit.

But how did Zod know he would have all these abilities if he was stuck in the Phantom Zone since before Krypton exploded?

Kryptonians had been to Earth before.
That and physics. Well - their "physics" LOL.

We don't need to stick our fingers in an electrical outlet to know what would happen. By the same token, Kryptonians would know the effects of a yellow sun on their bodies. Even in S:TM, where the audience is left to assume Kryptonians hadn't visited Earth before, Lara and Jor-El both know what will happen to Kal-El when he lands here.

Its interesting that Jor-el and Lara knew that. In Superman II, Zod and his minions didnt seem to know this as fact, they figured out that the closer they got to the yellow sun, blah, blah, blah.

Jor-El and Lara were both scientists. Zod was just a general, and we all know the military aint that smart.

LOL J/K :D ;)

I dunno. Chalk it up to replaced directors, writers, mismatched continuity....
