Not sure on the veracity of either the site or the claim. I doubt it is true or I'd have seen this in one of the more reputable scientific sites I browse.

Einstein was wrong about a couple things but mostly due to lack of information that we have now.

Well, the NYTimes has reported it. The story is over a year old though.

I noticed the original byline date and I still don't remember anyone reporting this that would have done so. The New York Times is not the kind of resource I would look to for accuracy on a topic like this though. It might be true with some stipulations or there is a misrepresentation about what they actually accomplished.
