you think they did a better job making garfield look realistic in the movie or they did a better job with scooby doo ?

Scooby doo had the better story, Garfield had Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Close thread :p

Both versions were really poor imo, but I suppose I favored Scooby's movie treatment.

yah i think they did better making scooby look real than garfield. and i think they did much better with garfield in the 1st movie than 2nd.

Both characters looked awful. I never saw either of the Garfeild movies. I saw the first Scooby Doo and it was terrible, other than the scene where Scooby and Shaggy are cooking.

Garfield by far, I thought they did a great job with effects on him and his integration in the live action shots.

I am not overly keen on either really. However, they had Garfield voiced by Bill Murray and Jennifer Love Hewitt is pleasant to look at.

Garfield.

He's not asking which was a better movie or which had the hottest chick.
He asked if Garfield or Scooby Doo looked more realistic.
It's weird that someone would be sitting there and wonder this.
How would one manage to watch either movie?

I expected Scooby Doo to be what it was if any of you watched the cartoon series. It wasn't suppose to be serious. As far as teh casting goes it was probably right but i voted for Garfield because Bill Murrey provided the cloest garfield voice then the original voice. That whole Bill playing Grafield was ironic to me for The character of Peter Vekman in the movie ghostbusters played by bill in the movie was voiced by the guy who did Garfields voice for the cartoon ghostbuters and Bill end up being the movie voice for garfield. I probably am the only one to notice the Bill Murrey, Ghostbuster Garfield irony

I liked Scooby Doo, the best phrase was at the end with Scrappy Doo.

"I would of gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling B******..."then it trails off but I he had more offending words.

The second one was alright - Too much Daphne turning into Buffy!

And I thought Velma was a sure Lesbian!

Hmmm, diarreia or constipation... being kicked in the nuts or spiked in the butt... Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears...

oh no i noticed that too my friend, i even told my mom after we saw the film!

Umm im gonna go for scooby, i cant remember a single shot where garfield looked like a real cat but i was under the impression that was intentional.

both movies suck, but if im locked in a room and forced to watch one of those and death is not an opcion i say scooby doo...

the king of cowardice of course

All the movies looked like pure garbage. I'll stick to the cartoons and books.

I liked Garfield's look in the second movie better. Both cats used in the movie looked realistic the only difference is they just looked like a Garfield breed of cat. You could never find an actual real cat that looked exactly like Garfield & was never meant to look exactly like a real cat.

Scooby Doo looked more like a realistic Great Dane in both movies but still had the Scooby Doo look & mannerisms that we all love.

Well if you pay attention to the cartoon garfield he well was never a normal cat. So my guess is that he was always like Scooby appaeared to be a bit cartooney. I would have liked to have seen a tiger cat and his mouth juts moved. I mean look at Charlottes Web all the animals talk. I like the carttoney garfield but yet i would liked to have seen a real cat to be honest and they doa cgi mouth on it. They tried to go too high tech. But i guess its hard to get real animals to eat certain foods.

i'd pick scooby doo. i actually saw part of the movie on tv last night. the opening scene is dead on scooby doo, and the scooby and shaggy characters are perfectly translated. everything else in the movie is stupid.

Both looked terrible.
Scooby was cool and all, but I actually like Garfield.
Garfield was alot better than Scooby-Doo and especially the sequel.

It's amazing how many in this thread are still answering which movie they liked best, read the first post first.

Hmm...Trying to make a cartoon animal look real...
Scooby-doo by far looks more real than Garfield.
And if you say the garfield film is better then Scooby-doo, than you are an idiot.
Both may be bad, but at least Scooby-do is somewhat entertaining.
