Scooby-Doo Heading Back to the Big Screen

I’m honestly surprised they could be bothered to cast Frank Welker in this, considering the movie stars they have for the other roles.

Nobody else can really do the voice. I know for the two live action movies they got some Australian actor to do them which was blasphemy in itself considering the actors currently doing the voice for the cartoon were still living.

No one ever manages to mess up Velma for some reason. I say this having not seen the live action TV specials. She's consistently well portrayed throughout the years.

This movie had it's moments.Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman and Ken Jeong tried as Dynomutt. however, I can't figure out why they made Blue Falcon so STUPID. You know, I'm an old Scooby Hanna Barbera fan and actually looked forward to seeing all the old characters again and only some of them felt right. Scooby and Shaggy came off OK. 5/10

The film was a little messy and weird... but, it was all worth it for these opening credits reimagining.

Would've been cool to have a post credit scene revealing that Cogswell Cogs was the guy who supplied Dastardly with the robots.

I hope this movie does well enough for a sequel. I wanna see more Hanna Barbara characters reimagined in this universe like Captain Caveman and Blue Falcon were.

For sure. Despite my mixed feelings on this movie I wouldn't mind seeing more of these characters on screen together, but it needs to be its own separate thing entirely IMO.

I remember a scary episode of the tv show, with a dark werwolf-like creature with red glowing eyes...gave me nightmares back then, and I was 8 years
But my son is different and already has seen Masters of the Universe, when he was 3 and never was scared about Skeletor or Beastman (he wanted to join us, when I watched it with my older son)

Zero spooky elements whatsoever . I'm not even going to get into the conversation of someone being scared of anything in Scooby-Doo. They don't attempt to be spooky at all here.

What is it about today's kids that makes them more likely to be interested in stuff that feels like Wacky Races , Laff-A-Lympics, and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, as opposed to something like Where Are You?, Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost, and Mystery Incorporated?

Seems like this is just a modern take on the old team ups of HB characters to me. The lesser HB stuff basically. That's Scoob!.

As far as new VAs go, Kate Micucci was a much better update for Velma than Gina Rodriguez.

The movie is disjointed and the comedy is weak. It's like they shoehorned three different movie plots together.

Making this both an origin of Shaggy and Scooby/Blue Falcon and Dyno Mutt and the Mystery Inc. Gang and then having them all cross over plus Dick Dastardly was foolish.

The new voice actors were TERRIBLE.

Delete my browser history joke. American Idol/Simon Cowell jokes. Those got old 15 years ago.

Meh. His need to make funny faces even when he's not playing scared annoys me. Linda Cardellini is the best thing in those movies. The cast could have been great in the parts across the board though. I blame the director and screenwriter for those movies because the cast are good fits I'd say.

Linda Cardellini and Matthew Lillard are pretty much the only things I like about those live action movies as well, especially Cardellini who was just perfect casting for Velma all around.
