Yeah, this intuitively feels like it fits Synder's whole construct for the post-Black Zero event disaster. I.e., bringing a sense of realism to the event and its aftermath. I definitely don't think a Silver Age-inspired Jimmy, or anything even closely resembling it, has a place in this kind of film.

True, i mean, i just can't see this Clark having a special bond with a kid, free lancing as a photographer, fresh out of school. It just doesn't fit - however, a similar in age guy, that is humble, seeing the best in people and just being an all round decent guy, with quirks - i can see that.

I actually would find it totally believable for Clark to have a special bond with a bit of dorkly Jimmy interning or the like, seeing as he spent so much time alone without peers of his own as "pals".

Thing is for me... I always think that Jimmy should of course find Superman a hero, and cool, all that jazz but deep down, the person he should totally idolize is Lois Lane. That is who and what he wants to be.
