BvS Scoot McNairy joined BvS: Dawn of Justice. Which role is he playing?

You can actually hear him in the BvS teaser. "Maybe he's just a guy trying to do the right thing". Doesn't sound like someone thats against Superman. But then again you never know, this line might not even be used in the movie itself, it could be done just for the sake of the teaser. But its mind boggling why his character is still being kept a secret. If he actually was Jimmy Olsen, I think it would have officially come out by now.

I'd say he's just playing a Metropolis citizen who lost his legs during the battle, but one who doesn't blame Superman for his injury, and as such is appearing in his defence before the hearing.

I don't think he's playing a comic book named character, that's why they haven't bothered to make an announcement for who he's playing. Then again, how many times has WB made a casting announcement? Most of the casting news began as rumors/reports and then was confirmed by one of the (more) reputable sites - like Wrap, THR etc.

Yeah, this intuitively feels like it fits Synder's whole construct for the post-Black Zero event disaster. I.e., bringing a sense of realism to the event and its aftermath. I definitely don't think a Silver Age-inspired Jimmy, or anything even closely resembling it, has a place in this kind of film.

Interesting, don't know this character and I'm reading up on him as we speak. If we speculate that both Magnus and Victor Stone are rewritten to have been disabled by the Black Zero event, do you foresee Magnus as the scientist that fashions Stone's cyborg parts?

The magazine states (if it's legit) that Jimmy is friends with L&C so it is safe to say there's a good chance he already works at the DP.

I read just a few days ago that it was confirmed that Scoot McNairy is Jimmy Olsen and Jena Malone is Barbara Gordon. Did this turn out to be unfounded? Can't remember the source now.

It was a french magazine, but the source wasn't specified to be Warner Bros or people who watched the film.
