Scoot McNairy talks about his role on BvS.

Well, at the very least he’s not Superman (that’s Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck — duh) or Wonder Woman (which would just be weird, but also it would put Gal Gadot out of a job). But whoever it is, he’s not telling us, though we certainly tried:

“Man, I would love to spend hours with you about it but I don’t know if you’d see me in another movie if I did.”

What McNairy will say, though, is he’s glad his first superhero movie is with director Zack Snyder — “an incredible filmmaker and an incredible visionary” — and BvS was a hoot. “Playing in that world with comic books you’ve been reading since you were a kid, being someone in that world, it’s awesome.” And when it comes to Superman and Snyder, to quote The Lego Movie, everything is awesome.
McNairy did reveal, rather cryptically of course, that elements of his mystery comic-book role were a major challenge for him.

“It’s definitely 100% a character I’ve never played and I can’t speak too freely on it, but yeah, getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it — my head was in a different place but I’m really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film.”

I actually saw JL: New Frontier again last night so MM is lingering around in my head.

I've no basis at all on it, I just consider J'onn to be a fairly complex and internalized character. Which would sorta fit these recent comments, and given they're setting up all the JL members, it wouldn't be unfounded to slowly introduce him into the fray.

I'm not buying he's a villain just yet.

I agree with what's been implied by Fallen Angel and others who speculate that he will be a bilateral below knee amputee....sets up nicely for Metallo, but will be interesting to see in the final product.

I don't think the legs will be replaced with something else in post. Probably just erased.
