Sequels Scorpion Or Mysterio For sequel?

Not any more so than a guy in a skin-tight bodysuit flapping around a big honking tail or the most ridiculously dressed Spider-Villain sans Electro with a fishbowl for a helmet.

I like Scorpion but I have to go with Mysterio. Film is a visual medium and I really believe that there's so much more potential with Mysterio to achieve scenes and setpieces that would just look incredible. Reality-Bending Head-**** stuff, y'know?

I agree. I wanted something similar from the Scarecrow in BB. His potential as a villian wasn't tapped completely.

Kraven would also be great with the obsession point of view. People would definitely take him seriously if he's written well. Not hard to do.

I think Electro could be EPIC. How would those powers translate on screen....in which ways could they manifest themselves? And since Oscorp looms large in this series, Electro is a strong possibility. As is Scorpion, but he would not be as interesting a character and lacks the overall scale that Electro would bring.

Electro's powers are Magneto-esque in scope.

It's very simple to change/update a characters look. If something doesn't translate from comics to film, then you simply alter/adjust/change it until it does.

Take Carnage for example. He is a pretty one dimensional character in comics so people assume he can only be the same in a film. Just because a comic writer couldn't make him interesting doesn't mean a film writer can't.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think Kraven could be awesome in a film reminiscent of The Most Dangerous Game, with Kraven as Zaroff and Spider-Man as Rainsford.

Scorpion for sure, he needs to be more popular than Venom, cause he's better, and he's always been my favorite Spidey villain
Also, he's not as dumb as that guy from Roger Stern/JRjr run on ASM from the 80s, he's a smart private eye

See also...Kraven.

I think Kraven has a strong foundation already though. Things can be tweaked here and there, but overall a strong base. It's usually "his look" is the reason as to why people say he wouldn't work, yet that is the simplest solution.

After Green Goblin, I don't think any villian has the potential impact of Electro (Venom if he's done right). Not only as he relates to Spidey in terms of danger, but in terms of his potential reach and magnitude on a story as a whole. Electricity is the lifeblood of modern civilization. He can override and manipulate electrical systems. Chaos and social upheavel at his fingertips. Send New York into the dark ages. People turning against each other, fearful of each other etc.

And his powers and how they can manifest themselves would be incredible from a visual
stanpoint. Not just electric bolts from his fingertips, but blowing out walls, floorboards, ceilings. Blowing up cars. I believe he has some control over magnetic fields as well. So much possibility.

Scorpion is unlikely for a sequel because he is too similar to the Lizard in how he would look in battles. In fact I think it's almost a guarantee he won't because of it.

We know GG will be in this series at some point, most likely the third.

I'd like to see Mysterio in a sequel.Bruce Campbell can play him.

I mean I want to see atleast:
-Scorpion
-Rhino
-Kraven
-Mysterio

as long as I see one of those and there portrayed correctly! I'm happy.

How do you see Mysterio playing out in this series based on what we know? Rhino and Scorpion could be Oscorp Lab experiments, Kraven could be hired by Osborn to hunt Spider-Man, but Mysterio doesn't fit

Mysterio could be stealing tech for oscorp like in spectacular spider-man, I think it was oscorp he was stealing tech for?

As a campaign(illusion) of impropriety against Spiderman.

Is this one thought? If so it could work. But I prefer the more personal/intimate approach. I see Norman's presence growing with each film along with his antagonism for Peter. If he is going to play games with Peter and mess with his head, I see him pulling the strings front and center, not hiring someone else to do so and have all the fun. And it would certainly be more interesting to me. He will probably know Peter's identity by the end of the first film/start of the second. That's what I'm reading into it at least from audio and visual cues from the trailer as well as the USM inspiration.

Looks like Webb is planting seeds in the first film that will have a reach over the entire series as opposed to one film. Mysterio just seems a bit out of left field to me even though you could make it work this way.

Scorpion created by Jameson, who's introduced along with Brock and the rest of the Bugle, where Peter starts working.

@ I'm venom
They probably wont go with that because Venom and green goblin have been done. Add like Side Characters like
Amazing Spider-Man 1: Lizard
Amazing Spider-Man 2: Scorpion with Mysterio stealing tech for Oscorp.
Amazing Spider-Man 3: Kraven was hired by Norman to kill Spider-Man so he's out of the way of his criminal Empire. Spidey gets the black suit and the death of gwen stacy.
Amazing Spider-Man 4: Introuduce Mary Jane, Spidey Fights Venom. Maybe shocker as a side villain that he just takes down, carnage and venom vs. Spidey?

I personally prefer Venom, but Scorpion is seriously underrated.

He should definitely be a great challenge in a fight. I don't understand why he so often seems easily dismissed. Even he was turned into Venom, he was still a chump, just an overpowered one.
I like how Dan Slott handled him recently more than how he was as Venom, made a more accurate to the original Scorpion
