This is a scorpion redesign I did for another board a few years ago. I hated the stinger. HATED IT. So I gave him a blade. Not very scorpion like, but who cares. It's a better weapon.

Dima, that is a fantastic redesign! It gives the character real mencae and purpose. If Scorpy made it into the movies, I'd be happy if he was given such a costume.

Well thanks! I never liked how Scorpion looked. He looked silly and outdated.

I love redesigning characters. That's probably my favorite thing to draw when I'm drawing superheros. I figure why draw something that already exists and others can do better. Might as well put my own spin on it.

I think the original Scorpion costume is perfect for the 60's - I read the very first issue with him in (#20) and it really is ideal for Ditko's style. However, I agree that it needs updating now. Plus, redesigns and alternative costumes are always cool-!

Post anymore that you do, I'd love to see 'em.

nice work, i don't comment on fan art much, so this does mean a lot. Nice stuff. Wouldn't mind seeing more, different angles, in action etc....

I like it. If Scorpion is put into the movies his out fit should look something like that.

That's actually not bad. I'd kill for Scorpion to look like that and get bumped up to a B+ class villain.

Thanks a lot everyone. Glad you guys like it. In case anyone's wondering, that was done with pencil/ink/marker. The highlights were white pencil.

That suit looks awesome. The blade-stinger is a nice touch as are the tipped finger-joint claws. It's got an assassin-like look to it too. The pads add to the whole look.

Not quite as awesome as what Spider-Man 3's "movie version" of Scorpion looks like, but it's definitely up there. Nice job on the details!
