Scream 4!!!!!

It's CC's lips that scare me these days. It's the reason I can't watch Cougar Town.

I think Courtney looks even better today than she did in 1996. Same thing with Holly Hunter now.

She admitted she had botox and had a bad reaction or something, but I think she might have had some little work done besides that. Either way, I can't hate her too much, or if at all, she's still a talented character actress.

And I'd rather have her still be talented than gorgeous to be honest.

it doesn't work that way in Hollywood

I like her and I have a feeling she will not be making it to the end of the movie

Eh. Of the three lead characters, she's the most bankable because of Friends and Cougar Town. I can see Dewey and Sid going before Gale.

they ain't gonna whack Neve.....or are they??

ive seen her boobs already so I really am not all that invested if she lives or dies.....Hayden Panettiere needs to die....badly

I'll be very upset if Sidney dies to the point where I won't count Scream 4 as canon if it happens.

It seems hard to believe this would happen to her four times let alone six. She's already had the happy ending but if she sticks around any longer her character will most likely be killed off.

And at least it will be us rooting for a heroine again instead of the killer to succeed.

I'm fairly sure Sid has a 50/50 chance in this. Especially with Emma apparently being set up as a new main character for Scream 5.

If Sid dies. So be it. I've enjoyed her. I'll be upset, but unlike Laurie Strode who fizzled out in her first fifteen minutes of her last movie. Sid will go out fighting and that's the only way Williamson and Craven would ever do it.

And to me that's a fitting character end as any for Sid.

I think having a new heroine leading the series would be a big mistake, nobody can carry it like Sidney can, she's been the heart of the series and it would lose so much if she was offed.

Yeah. Alot of times, a main character doesn't survive past 4 films in a horror series. Take Jamie Lee Curtis in the Halloween films for example.

I have this crazy theory that is essentially based on nothing but I'm going to throw it into spoiler tags just to be safe. It's about who I think could be a killer but again it isn't really based on much, however for those not watching the trailer, I do mention a specific scene in the trailer just so ya know.

I have a weird feeling that Emma Roberts' character will end up being a killer. I know it seems far-fetched but I mean new trilogy, new rules right? I know she gets chased in the trailer sort of and it looks clear that she gets stabbed in the arm and survives that chase. For whatever reason, I get flashbacks of when Derek got stabbed and they all suspected him after that. I just feel like it would go perfectly with her seeming like the "good girl". Like for instance, maybe she's making the calls, not doing any actual killing.

However, there is also a scene in the trailer where she is hiding under the bed so it seems unlikely, but I just wanted to throw it out there. I hope she isn't, because she's Sid's cousin and that would really suck for Sidney haha, and I enjoy rooting for the main girl. But anyway, there you have it.

Also, since I never commented on the trailer. I loved it! I agree with those who loved the Hayden Panettiere remake line. Hilarious and so true!

Laurie Strode IS Halloween. Sidney Prescott IS Scream. How successful were the Halloween films again without Laurie Strode? Not very.

I've heard the theory but the trailer also might debunk that entirely because :
If the costumed killer is across the street and another killer is on the phone with kirby at the same time , there would have to be three killers for jill to be part of it.
So it seems unlikely but it could be possible.

Yes, but Williamson, y'know the guy that created Sidney Prescott in the first place? Is at hand crafting these characters that would continue us onward. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

I think Sidney dying in a blaze of glory at the end of the film to protect everyone she loves is VERY Sid like and VERY fitting for her character. Hell, Sidney's probably the most selfless horror heroine ever, when it came down to it, she even cared about Gale in Scream 2 before they were really close like they were in Scream 3.

You're telling me that if she dies to protect her Aunt, Cousin, her cousin's friends, and Gale and Dewey it's an unfitting ending for the character? That's so ultimately Sid like and in both trailers so far it's set up just how much Sid cares about the people around her.

The problem with killing off Laurie Strode was how they did it and the material that followed after it. Laurie was dumbed down after a magnifcent final battle with her brother in the previous film, killed off, then followed by a bunch of stoner kids crashing at the Myers House.

Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven are NOT going to go that route with Sidney Prescott if she dies. I trust them 100 percent.

Yeah, Sid is the ultimate heroin only behind Sarah Conner.

I believe in anything Williamson does with his characters, too...

I'm not even talking about the abomination of Halloween: Resurrection. Laurie was 'killed' off by Halloween 4 in an off-screen 'car crash', remember? How successful were the movies following Strode's disappearance? Not very.

Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven are NOT going to go that route with Sidney Prescott if she dies. I trust them 100 percent.

I'm not a fan of this mentality. It's the equivalent of a 'yes man'. Every director makes mistakes. Whether you like it or not, Scream and Halloween are not like other franchises where the heroin changes every other movie. Halloween's core is centered around Laurie Strode and Michael. Scream's core is centered around Sidney Prescott. When you take the very core from those movies, they ultimately suffer. That's just the facts man.

Eh. I think the core of Scream has actually been the combo of Sid, Dewey, and Gale, as long as one of them is around it can continue to be good.

I just don't like the mentality that there's no way to successfully continue a horror franchise beyond it's original heroine no matter how awesome they are (Laurie/Sidney). Especially with Laurie, the problem was that the actress no longer wanted to be a part of it and many of the faces behind the plotline that killed her off twice were not the same as the ones that created her.

Williamson hasn't let me down yet in any of his projects. It's a proven fact that when he's behind something it's good quality stuff. (Scream 1, 2, Dawson's, Vampire Diaries.), but when you take him away from that they begin to suffer. The REAL heart of the Scream series is HIM. Look at how Scream 3 was mediocre or just average when he wasn't involved. Even I Know What You Did Last Summer to I Still Know shows a great drop in quality because he was no longer involved.

People simply don't give him enough credit. The man is what made the Scream series, Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley. If he's continued to be involved, Sidney or no, I will support these films, because I know he's got something crafty up his sleeve.

I love Sidney. And I don't want her to die. I will still watch Scream 5 and 6 if she is not in it, but it won't really feel the same, even if Dewey and/or Gale are still around.

I do love Sidney, BUT I still hate that she went back to check out who Ghostface is in the car in Scream 2. I understand why she did it, but it just seemed so... stupid. I'm not saying there were many better options, but mostly I just hate that it got Hallie killed. :(

Which brings me to my next point, that is why I love these movies so much. I genuinely like the characters. Tatum, Hallie, Randy, Dewey, Gale, Sidney, etc. I genuinely rooted for them. Hell, I loved Stu and Mickey too. Granted they ended up being murderers but still. I loved Mrs. Loomis as a killer but like Joel (Gale's cameraman), she wasn't really on my radar as being a victim or killer so I paid little attention to her. I actually liked Billy too as a character, but deep down I felt like he would be the killer, so I never looked at him as being in danger really. I didn't include Scream 3 characters because while I like the movie, I don't feel for those characters as much, though I actually kind of liked Jennifer. :o

So basically, I hope Scream 4 continues this trend and that I can genuinely root for these new characters. I trust that it will. It's going to be weird though because I'm so used to knowing everything that's gonna happen in a Scream movie since I watched them like crazy as a kid. Now, I'm going in there blind.

On another Scream 4-related note, it appears NECA will be releasing an improved version of their Ghostface figure at a later date, after hearing how overwhelmingly disliked the initial figure was.

Article

We have heard from some of the fan community that they are not happy with the mixed mediums and the use of soft goods which is disappointing but in an effort to please everyone we are going to make a running change in the production and switch to a sculpted skirt. That way both versions are on the market and those who don’t mind the fabric and want to pose the legs more can buy the initial soft goods version and those who prefer the fully sculpted all plastic figure can wait and purchase that version. We listen and value the fan’s opinions and want to try to satisfy everyone. So here is an exclusive behind the scenes look at how the lower part of the figure will be revised. We are keeping the fabric on the sleeves as I really don’t like how this looks sculpted and again we want people to pose and articulate the arms and have the fabric move with it in a way that makes logical sense, like how fabric or a long sleeve like that would really move in real life

Looks much better so far. Good NECA listened to the fans.
