Scream 4!!!!!

I always assumed it would be a spin on the old "he is never dead" cliche in horror films.

Then again, it doesn't explain what happens to him after the first film. His body must have been taken away out of the house right? And afterwards? or would they just leave that be?

I assumed he died after the first film and was either buried or cremated after that.

The really cool thing about the second is that Randy, Gale and Dewey were still possible suspects. Randy could have snapped because of his love for Sydney or hell, his love of movies, or both. Gale and her opportunist ways or seeking attention. It could have been like Mickey's motive. And Dewey as just the unsuspecting guy who gets close to Sydney to catch her off guard and telling her the killer is in her life when he as the possible killer has been in her life for quite some time. I mean who knows what could have happened? By the third and fourth, no way they could be, but the second still had them as suspects.

I saw Scream 2 with a bunch of friends and while speculating on the way to the theater and the most popular theory involved Dewey. Then when we see Dewey limping it seemed like a guise and he "had" to be there to look after Sid. Now it would seem out of place but it could of worked for any of those characters at that time.

If you'd have told me the killer in Scream 2 was gonna be Billy's mom and a lunatic she met on the internet I might not of believed it . However you see the film and it works . So whatever seems far fetched isn't outside the realm of possibility and people might of accepted Stu returning.

I've always wanted Dewey as a ghostface but Scary Movie ruined that...

'Scream 4' Test Screenings Begin Tomorrow: Early Synopsis!
Wednesday, January 5, 2011

Bloody Disgusting reader Joey M. alerted us to a forthcoming Pennsylvania test-screening of Wes Craven's Scream 4 that is to take place TOMORROW. On the invite, which was included in the e-mail, we discovered an early synopsis that we're excited to share with you:
"Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger."
Dimension Films has slated the rumored two-hour long sequel for release on April 15, 2011.

Mary McDonnell!!!!

I really really really wish this was an option for me. Damn. I'd love to be the first on the Hype to see it. Heh.

Also just wanted to say, if people from the screening post spoiler reviews, please people discuss them in spoiler tags. I don't want to know 4 months ahead of time who lives/dies and is the killer.

I agree, I'd love to know general information (how was it, does it live up to the others, etc), but I definitely don't want to find out who the killer is.

Actually, who am I kidding? I'm such a sucker for spoilers, I know I'll read all of them. I'll try to resist but ...

I honestly can't believe they are having test screenings ,I don't remember the first 3 having test screenings. I gotta stay clear, don't want it ruined for me.

Lol, thats exactly how I am. I never had anything ruined for me with the first 3.I also have no willpower. This won't end well for me,but as long as the movie is good...

What you're saying makes sense, but I'm such a sucker for spoilers, I know I'll peek at them if someone posts them. I am so curious as to what the killer's motive is this time.

I really hope this doesn't suck. I'm like, irrationally excited to be seeing a new Scream. I think part of it is the excitement of seeing a horror sequel instead of a remake. :funny:

I guess I really didn't think about it, but you're probably right. I've been excited about this just because it is Scream, but I think it also has to do with this just being a sequel vs remake.

All of my favorite horror franchises have been stuck in remake land lately. Nice to have sequel for a change.

Same here, lol. I can't resist.

I'm very surprised to hear that they're having test screenings...

Also just wanted to say, if people from the screening post spoiler reviews, please people discuss them in spoiler tags. I don't want to know 4 months ahead of time who lives/dies and is the killer.

I just wanted to reiterate this - KEEP ALL PLOT RELATED DETAILS IN SPOILER TAGS! THERE ARE A GREAT DEAL OF PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WANT THIS MOVIE RUINED. (MYSELF INCLUDED.) PLEASE CONSIDER THIS YOUR ONLY WARNING ON THE SUBJECT!

Thank you Marx.

We would all appreciate it. But anything that has to do with Scream or hell, anything or anybody that has to do with it I will avoid like the plague until release.

I'm seriously considering going into the theater wearing ear plugs until the movie starts. I don't want to risk people possibly talking about it around me. Pretty extreme, but I don't want this ruined.

I'd actually love to be apart of that test screening. I've been on a Scream fix lately.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how thye're gong to pull this off and the killer's motive. I can't really think of anything. But that's a good thing.

I saw Scream 2 with a bunch of friends and while speculating on the way to the theater and the most popular theory involved Dewey. Now that I think about it, Stu being the killer would have been much better than Roman. I just didn't like the entire family thing. It seem contrived.

Just think: The reveal of Ghostface and WTF? It's Stu??? It may seem outrageous at first. But once it settles in, it makes sense I think.

It just makes him seem more intelligent than we thought he was. I don't think the character would have been ruined by that. Him pretending he was some lackey going along with Billy and really being a calculating killer is pretty cool.

Hell, Kincaid being the killer would have been better than Roman. They tricked me there for about two seconds, because that shot of Kincaid's face seriously made me thought he was the killer. That would have been a better reveal.

I too am surprised to hear about the test screenings. If the screenings are poorly-received, I wonder how the theatrical release of the movie will differ from the screening version?

Just think how lucky we were in 1996? Just house-phones and word of mouth was all there was to spoil the original...

The trilogy had test screenings all the time. It's how Dewey survived both Scream and Scream 2.

Weinstein will order up some quick reshoots. They've done it countless times before.

He was originally supposed to die?! NOOOOOOOOOO! I like his character, thank God that never occurred.

Eh. I rather he had died. He's the weakest actor of the main three and the most annoying of the main three. I only tolerate him because he's practically Sid's big brother and Gale's husband.
