"Scream" possibly recovered.

I hate that painting. I find it disturbing, but I also love it too.

I didn't know the Scream was missing.

I thought this thread was about somebody who regained their voice.

May I ask why?

I can probably answer this, because I can somewhat relate to it.

Abstract art a lot of times can seem as though there isn't much skill needed to produce it. For example...

This isn't something that would be hard to create...

case in point is this picture painted by a toddler...

Inbetted in the ideas of what an artist should be includes skill. Abstract art like the first on isn't considered "art" because it's something that could be easily reproduced, and is actually just paint splattered everywhere. When people look at art or purchase it, they do so with intentions of displaying something that was made with skilled hands, and that invokes the immagination- atleast most people.

Munch's Scream is abstract in the sense that it isn't a carbon copy of nature. The lines are all squigilly, and it's confusing to look at. I myself do not consider the first piece "art", but I do consider pieces like Munch's Scream because they invoke so much emotion when you view them, plus it has good composition.

Agreed. I'm a modern art fan myself but I don't like those "paintings" that are just a white canvas and such.
