Searching a movie title

Hi,

The Colossus remake thread made me think about another computer movie but the title escape me.

The story : a scientist made a very advanced computer in his basement which become sentient and later try to reproduce with the scientist's wife and succeed and a child born from this union.

I remember ( not 100% certain ) that the computer core was a giant gold sphere.
