Episode 1: Snow Gives Away

I can't wait to see the intro!

Not really excited about the show though because of the reviews but I am looking forward to the 6th episode and the rest of the episodes after that.

That intro is dope and some Outkast too.

.......... bit sloppy in some areas so far.

I'm currently watching the first episode. It's kind of plodding along. It feels like the show runner isn't a huge fan of comics/Iron Fist compared to the other showrunners for the Netflix shoes.

Saw this one. Not the strongest premiere for a Netflix Marvel show, but I did like it. I prob will watch 1 or 2 tomorrow and then sat is when I will finish

Yeah wasn't bad. Some iffy parts. Like when [blackout]Danny jumped over the taxi.[/blackout] That was just awkward as hell. They really couldn't do another take where it didn't look like crappy wire work?

Yeah this is so far the worst of the 4 Netflix shows. The editing is a bit bad sometimes (chracters facial reactions changing when camera changes angles for example) and the martial arts is a bit spotty sometimes. Still it's pretty decent.
It this wasn't a show about martial arts and superheroes (2 of my favorite subjects) I might have called it quits after this one. But I'm gonna give it at least a few more episodes.

Liked this episode overall. Finn Jones grew on my as the episode went on. Wasn't bored at all, and yet when the episode hit 45 minutes I was amazed it still had 15 minutes to go. Good start, but if it carries on at this type of pace, the criticisms of it dragging wont surprise me.

Also, if someone asked me what happened in the first, hour long episode of Iron Fist, I could sum in up in about 17 words. So I guess, if that's the case, there is certainly some fat that could have been trimmed.

I would give it a 6/10

I found the dialogue to be really bad. I hate when people talk in circles in real life and its worse in shows. How many times did Danny say "I just want to talk"? He clearly remembered things from his childhood so it would have been smart to come out and say them right away. In the 1st scene he didn't say anything that would convince them.

I do like Outkast so that was nice. I also expect Danny and Luke to bond over some music choices when they meet.

I don't know if it's that I didn't have many preconceptions about the source material going in or that the reviews have just lowered my expectations, but I enjoyed the episode. The only criticism I've heard that I found to be true was the lack of lots of kung fu action, but personally I can say that I didn't need it to stay engaged throughout.

The scene where Danny randomly starts speaking Chinese to Colleen and just assuming she spoke the language... That made me burst out laughing since it reminds me of all the times that people on the street assumed I spoke Spanish. How did that scene not get cut in post?

Really enjoyed it! Liking Finn as Danny, enjoying the music as well. The fight scenes did seem a bit awkward at times though.

it was okay for a first episode but the actual fighting sequences there at the beginning looked terrible compared to the stuff a little later in the episode. Is this actor trying to do all the fighting stuff himself?

It was a nice first episode.
I already like Danny, I liked his talk with the homeless guy.
Harold look like a good antagonist.

So, this was pretty damn slow, even for an opener. Thank the gods for binge watching.

I liked it, I enjoyed it a lot more than Luke Cage for which I basically had to force myself to keep watching. My only complaints are the sloppy choreography in the beggining and all the scenes inside the plane during the crash. My favorite aspect so far is how bright it looks compared to the other shows.

I wonder if people would be focusing on the negative aspects so much if it wasn't for the reviews.

I liked it. Perhaps because I know I've got more than ten episodes waiting to go, but I wasn't bothered at all by the pacing. The other Marvel shows were off to a quicker start, yes. My biggest complaint is probably the airplane stuff...I'm not sure the actors were the best fit for it. I enjoy a slow burn, and watching Danny make himself a target worked for me.

I like Jones, so far, too. I can't complain about the fight choreography because there wasn't much. But, I enjoyed the combat I saw. The parade scene, and seeing Danny's fighting style in that, even for just a glimpse, gives me hope that I'll see some cool **** in the other episodes. I liked how he entirely seemed like a nutjob, too. I can say as a New Yorker, I would have thought this dude was insane too.

Yeah, as much as I've enjoyed the show so far, if I had to watch it one episode per week I'd be far less inclined.

Enjoyed the episode I don't think it's bad but of all the Netflix pilots this one is the weaker one

LOVED the first episode.

I'm officially hooked.
