I've reached up to episode 4 now.

It's slightly improved, but still not that great. The fighting has still left a lot to be desired. I don't really see anything that looks like breathtaking martial arts, either from Danny Rand or Colleen Wing. There's nothing that Rand has done that we don't see in shows like Arrow. It's nothing like you get in a proper Asian martial arts movie.

And there are too many cut aways. The hallway fight just didn't look that spectacular but rather run-of-the-mill. I prefer Colleen Wing though, but her fighting doesn't seem so wonderful.

Anyone think that Jessica Stroup looks a bit like a young Leslie Ann Warren?

Of course, Stroup isn't as annoying or melodramatic or as ditzy as her (although the only time she didn't act like that was when she was in the Mission Impossible TV series). But there is a bit of a resemblance at times.

I'd say Merantau did it slightly better than IP Man 3.

I hadn't seen this before but there something about it I did not like. It looked way to obvious that it was choreographed.

just finished this episode and i think it's the best one so far.

i enjoyed colleen's fighting in the cage and i like how Hogarth is kinda watching over Danny. Dont trust harold or ward at all, and Joy seems alright

The martial arts in this show is terrible but I enjoyed the elevator part.
