Words cannot express how excited i am! Not to mention Penquin's voice is pretty cool!

Thanks Drz, most enthusiastic member!

Loving the look of this so much, I hope Mera isn't too cranky as we've had quite a few cranky ladies on the show so far. The Penguin looks fantastic as well.

However, awesome as Enemy Ace looks, I'm very, very tired of seeing 3d vehicles in this show. This season seems to abuse it more than ever, to the point where The Long Arm of the Law's plasticmobile was an enormous relief with its classic 2d animation.

Isn't 3d vehicles just cheaper and easier? I mean gotta save that money for musicals and whatnot. :p

Holy ****ing ****cakes may i call this the greatest fanservice yet!

Teaser episode:

So Batman has time traveled to World War 1 (could be 2, doesn't matter) where we see a German soldier having a familiar moustache a certain führer had. (Yes this show gave Adolf Hitler a cameo, who could have thought!) So we have Batman teaming up with Enemy Ace because some kind of an Cthulu alien has come to change the tides of the war. Batman and Enemy Ace succeed in destroying the canon and thus the aliens escape.

AQUAMAN'S OUTRAGEOUS ADVENTURE!

So the episode opens with Aquaman daydreaming of his outrageous heroics, but is woken up by Mera who feels Aqualad isn't interested enough in the landdweller cutlture and whatnot. Mera's a cool woman (not a whiner, but a strong woman!) while Aqualad sports a "emo" hair but hey the guy's blond and seems to be playing some Aqua-handconsole! So yeah they get to Star City where news reports tell about Green Arrow fightning againts Clock King. Aquaman with a glee on his eyes says the coolest one-liner of the episode:
Aquaman: Why hello there danger... We meet again!

AQUAMAN & THE GREEN ARROW IN: THE CLOCK KING STRIKES!

So the world's greatest bowman teams up with the world's greatest hero. Clock King gets easily defeated and the night is saved! Never underestimate the power of team up! Not to mention Apple pie tastes good. :)

Aquaman & the Family then move to a wild west city to see some cowboy culture! But oh noes! Blue Beetle is facing the Planet Master! This calls for....

AQUAMAN & BLUE BEETLE IN: THE PLAGUE OF THE PLANET MASTER

So Planet Master has the power of all planets... even Pluto which Blue Beetle remarks isn't even a planet anymore, oh yeah the BEST Adult joke ever from Jaime.

Blue Beetle:You really don't wanna see the power of uranus.

But hey with Blue Beetle teaming up with the world's greatest hero, the Planet Master easily gets taken down! Beetle even gets an royal invitation to Atlantis!

Sadly Mera and Aqualad bust Aquaman from doing heroics and thus Aquaman promises to spent the vacation fully with the family, and thus

AQUAMAN & THE AQUAMAN FAMILY IN: THE AQUAMAN FAMILY VACATION!

Aquaman travels around America for sight seeings with his family while spotting Hal Jordan, Red Tornado and the Atom doing heroics, he gets abit sad! But luckily his good friend Batman calls... But it turns out to be Penquin who has trapped the caped Crusader! So Aquaman swiftly takes his family to Gotham City! While Aquaman tries to rescue Batman from world's greatest penquin-related death-trap-of-utter-destruction-and-doom Aquaman gets an encouraging talk from Mera and shows why he *is* the King of the Sea, so we get to our finale:

BATMAN & THE AQUAMAN FAMILY IN: THE FLIGHT OF THE PENQUIN!

World's Greatest Detective teams up with the World's greatest family and the day is saved! I shall spare the details and enjoy the viewer seeing this epicness! I have to admit tho Penquin's voice is cool and his Silver Age design is kick-ass! I also digged his thugs all wearing Tuxedos!

Well what can i say. This was the most Outrageous fan service i've yet seen with me own eyes!

While not a fan of this version of Aquaman, I admit I found this episode to
be FUN and Well Done.
Its a HOOT from start to finish.

Best part for me was seeing the Penguin in action,
Using his various umbrellas against Batman

Also was neat seeing Batman soaring over the battlefields of World War One with Enemy Ace.
Batman wearing a Scarf, PRICELESS.

Gets a solid 'A' from me.

like i said inanother thread this episode may or may not have been meant as a spin off pilot for aquaman if so you may have anothers how on you hands
i like the nod to the super-friends of the mini ep title cards

Easily one of my favourite episodes of the entire series, and a great break from the usual format just like Mayhem of the Music Meister! and Legends of the Dark Mite!

The teaser of this episode was easily the weakest part, though actually the presence of an unknown alien rather than a character didn't bother me and I loved its design, truly Batman: The Brave and the Bold has some of the best alien designs I've seen. Enemy Ace looks interesting too, but the lack of music and rather plainness of it made it a bit more mundane. However, hopefully the final line indicates another full appearance by Enemy Ace in the upcoming World War II episode with Haunted Tank.

The actual feature was brilliant, filled with loads of glorious fanservice (the good kind not the JLU kind), hilarity and loads of crack.

It was great seeing so many characters that have never been animated before; Enemy Ace, The Fisherman (I was hoping he'd show up), Planet Master, Tigress and Bug-Eyed Bandit. Also returning character such as the Clock King (I felt he wasn't given enough attention compared to Grodd and Manta), Red Tornado, Top, Atom, Sportsmaster, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle, Mera etc.

The Penguin in this episode was magnificent, the exact version I was so hoping for and probably my favourite version of the character ever committed to animation. The umbrella weapons just worked, so well, and his penguin laugh and sophisticate voice was great. His hilarious umbrella related crimespree and appearance of a ramped up 60's submarine certainly filled me with joy.

The humour was fantastic, as always Green Arrow remains a great deadpan snarker and Clock King's demise with his German uttering at the claws of lobsters was great. Penguin's monologue being ignored was great too. The old filmation style title cards for Aquman's adventures were great too, my faovurite being "AQUAMAN and THE AQUAMAN FAMILY in AQUAMAN FAMILY VACATION!"
My favourite jokes however were probably the tussle the Atom was engaged in being ended by a windshield wiper, Sportsmaster vacationing with his wife Tigress, Pluto not being a planet anymore and of course Aquaman correcting Jaime's adventure name.

Any hardcore DC fan would love the map segment too, showing off a veritable range of classic spots, including Smallville and Metropolis. The "vacation" to Gotham was hilarious too, I was surprised they got away with the squeals and gunshots but it certainly made me laugh. Callouts to Jonah Hex and the Penguin's 60's submarine (worth mentioning twice) as well as the classic use of the Adam West henchmen formation rank high too.

I'm actually struggling to think of anything negative about this episode, even my fears of Mera coming across as a whiny b**ch were allayed, awesomely allayed morel ike with her turning out to not only be a very likeable character, but a kickass one as well. Arthur Jr just surviving past infancy was awesome. My only real complaint is that the main feature takes a couple of minutes to really warmup, but that's allI got and I can't complain about NOT having much to complain about.

Saw the episode tonight....was hilarious. I love how they do Aquaman on the series....it was great seeing Enemy Ace in action too.

This episode was hilarious , nice shout out to Superman's birth place & hometown (SMALLVILLE & METROPOLIS) hopefully in season 3 he'll make his debut on this series .

Batman continues to shine in this series as an unstoppable force . I love the teaser opening with Batman & Enemy Ace .

Aquaman's road trip with his family was hilarious

It was nice to see The penguin make his debut at last on this series .

I LOVED this episode so much. Penguin finally makes a real appearance on this show and he was spectacular! The man's brilliant use of alliteration was also quite the treat. I've been waiting for some Penguin action for so long that this was a BLAST for me. It's always a treat to see Batman's rougues gallery in this show. I cannot wait for the episode with
the sidekicks (Robin, Aqualad, and Speedy) going up against Ra's Al Ghul or even the Emperor Joker episode
.

Aquaman's side of the story was great as well, as he couldn't go ANYWHERE without running into a superhero battle, so I could see it was eating at him. The Superfriends title cards made me actually laugh, they even had the jingle.

@Kal-El 8: Superman AND Wonder Woman will both be in Season 2. Infact i personally believe we're getting something like a JUSTICE LEAGUE two-parter episode!!! Since we know Starro is getting build up as this season's enemy (or well one of the main villains of the season, kinda like Owlman and Equinox we're 1st seasons main baddies)

Definitely World War I. It wasn't just Hitler as a soldier that tipped it off, but the uniforms worn by both sides (and especially Hitler's helmet, which could be thrown as a weapon)

The teaser was definitely fun, in its own way. I liked the Hitler cameo (just because it was a gutsy move). In the teaser itself, Batman convinces Enemy Ace to stop fighting and to help him fight aliens in the middle of the war. I even liked the lack of music, since it set up the mood quite nicely.

In the main episode, Aquaman and his family go on a vacation in the surface world, but Aquaman hates it, and goes off on random adventure. These lead to amusing team-ups with Green Arrow and Blue Beetle, along with an avalanche of superhero and villain cameos, before the final showdown of Batman and the Aqua-Family versus the Penguin and his army of henchmen and an armored submarine.

An extremely hilarious episode. It defenitely tops "Long Arm of the Law!". Aquaman is an enjoyable character to see, and it was nice to see a whole episode dedicated to him. Some hilarious scenes include his fight with Clock King, the Planet Master jokes, "apple pie", and wiping Atom and Bug-Eyed Bandit off the windshield.

All in all, an excellent episode with lots of nods and humor.

NEXT WEEK: Batman and Black Canary team up with their mentors, the Justice Society of America, when villain Per Degaton threatens mankind. Meanwhile, Black Canary helps Wildcat come face-to-face with an issue from the past.

Fun fact about Aquaman's Outrageous Adventure:
2cgf45.jpg

This is the one he visits at Vanity. A platform extending over a chasm, with a small rail around it. Nothing that could prevent anyone from jumping.

Vanity, created by Grant Morrison as the home of his hero Aztek, is well known as the suicide capital of the DCU. There's something just plain WRONG with the place that frequently results in people killing themselves. God i love the Batman: Brave and Bold team. They got such a dark sense of humour at times haha.

Cameos don't need to make sense! Just look at the Last Action Hero movie!

Outrageous!

You have to love Aquaman trying to stifle his heroic inclinations to play the dutiful husband/father. I rolled when he dropped "Greetings from Neptune". :funny:

This is the best incarnation of Aquaman EVER! I want a spinoff so bad...
"HA! I eat cheese for breakfast!"

This show's Aquaman is great. I like it all the more because it's such breath fresh air from the boring, brooding, grumpy environmentalist, anti-hero they turn him into in the 90s.
