Okay guys lets Flashforward to alternate timelines for Season 2.

My guess is Earth 2 and Barry trying to find his way home during the first few episodes. Cisco delves into his Vibe powers to help find out what happened to Barry.

Unless the Eddie grandfather paradox caused a reset

My prediction is that Eddie will be back as a possible bad guy but we will have to wait a few months to find out.

The 2nd season could start with Barry saving either his world or landing in Earth-2.

Mirror Master shows up, with his Mirrors giving him the power to jump between parallel universes.

I also see Barry ending on earth 2. He meets Jay Garrick who will serve as a new mentor for him and will help him returning on the main earth. But, when returned, Barry is shocked, because everything is now different. Eddie's suicide has reset the reality, and he is now in a world that he doesn't recognize. Wells and his wife are alive and are still working on the particule accelerator. Both his parents are alive and well. Eddie is alive but is not a cop anymore but simply a very embittered janitor in the police station (so he will become slowly Cobalt Blue. By having created a better life for him, Eobard created a hero instead of a villain). And there is no Flash and no powered supervilains in Central City. Like Wells said, for everyone except Barry and his family, the world he created build them a better life. And I'm curious to see where Cisco and Caitlin will end up in this new world, but Cisco will be the only one with Barry to remember what happened, and will probably be the one who will believe him at last and help him adjusting his life in this new world.

I assume Barry will end up on Earth 2. And that Eddie will be back. And that we will all find whatever happens to be ****ing awesome!

Wally West/Kid Flash!, Mirror Master, Zoom, Killer Frost, Multi-verse etc...

Agree with everything apart from their lives being better. Wells said that they should have thanked him because their lives would have been a lot worse if he hadn't changed the past.

Think things will be quite bad. Barry will probably have to get the team together to build the particle accelerator. So that he can return things to "normal". This will take a few episodes, probably by mid season they do it and change history again. (maybe Barry actually saves his mum?) this time line will be better for everyone. But that wont last for long.

Really I have no idea as there are so many ways they could play this. Can't wait.

While I do appreciate the story possibilities for a timeline reset, we have to consider if Arrow Season 4 may be affected and if that was one reason writers didn't/won't stray into reset territory.

Also, after having seen a timeline reset in Fringe (albeit later in the series run), I might have some qualms about it. However, an earlier-in-the-series timeline reset could still be very interesting.

Thatll be interesting to see how this affects Arrow and how theyll go about explaining it on Arrow. I imagine a lot of the CW higher ups are prolly worried that people don't watch both shows and won't know about the timeline issues on Flash. I'm guessing he'll end up saving the current timeline but his efforts will result in him being transported to a different dimension. That way they can continue with the time elements in flash but not affect what is happening on Arrow.

Any guesses on Season 2's Big Bad?

My call is Mirror Master (Sam Scudder) in a scheme involving parallel/"mirror" universes. The McCulloch iteration of the character could then be the one who joins the Rogues.

My second choice for big bad is Gorilla Grodd finding/creating a "Planet of the Apes" timeline. Grodd-centric season could be done within CW's budget via a mind-controlled human (maybe Dr. Zeul??).

A few predictions:

1) Barry enters the wormhole and ends up in an alternate timeline, where Robert Queen is the Arrow much like Thomas Wayne was Batman in Flashpoint.

2) Barry and Iris will eventually get together by mid season, I can see there been a a hesitation in them getting together due to [blank]Eddie dying[/blank]

3) Jay Garrick will return with Barry from an alternate timeline

4) Barry won't get back to his own timeline until episode 4 or 5

5) Wally West will be on the show by season's end

I have no idea!

I don't think TPTB will undo an entire seasons worth of character development for Joe, Iris, Eddie, Cisco, Caitlin, Martin, Ronnie, etc by setting all of season 2 in an alternate timeline.

I could see them doing that for a few episodes, but I think that The Flash will somehow return to the timeline that we've seen in season 1, but that it will also somehow be "stable" irrespective of the paradox/time loop created by Eddie's sacrifice and the "singularity" trying to correct the paradox/time loop by erasing that reality from existence.

But, I'm probably very wrong. If the real Harrison Wells is returning for all of season 2, then that would surely require an alternate timeline to be followed for the course of the season. Otherwise, there is no real reason for Harrison Wells to be in the series unless Barry somehow brings an alternate version of Harrison Wells into the season 1 timeline? Maybe wherever Barry ends up after jumping into the singularity, a good version of Harrison helps him find a way to return "home" and that Harrison either voluntarily or accidentally returns with Barry?

i) If I were him I would stop the early Barry from making the wormhole. Since it's a short time he wouldn't meet the early Barry but just ending in that time just like how he tried stopping the tsunami. It would make even more if he still had me since I am the one who taught him how to be the Flash. He's useless without me.

or

ii) In the last episode, I was afraid when seeing the hat. It reminds me of the man I have been fighting while being in the speed force. Anyway, Barry is going to be in the another world that no one knows him. Probably in the socalled future. Later he would reveal who he really were when working with other speed men. This is how I got to know who he was.

I think they are going to follow Arrow's flashback route. Barry is going to suddenly reappear months later after the singularity disappears. Then the rest of the season will be them learning what happened to him across the other Earth as he learns what happened on Earth 1 in his absence.

I have a prediction. Tempest's head explodes from trying to understand time travel. The end.

Interesting. But if the RF is caused by romance, I might stop watching the show.

We will get a new Flash suit with a white logo !

I think this is definitely coming really soon.

I think the original reasoning for the red symbol is to differentiate between younger and older Flash.

Mostly this. Hopefully in 2A it'll be the consequences regarding
Eddie's demise
and afterthoughts drawn out for the first half. Fingers crossed they give Iris a likability factor. Can't wait for Jay Garrick and Killer Frost's arcs.

Earth 2 Caitlin is the villain Killer Frost.

I like it.

I would have said "Grodd is going to be the big bad of season 2," except with that finale, I officially have no clue. Its entirely possible season 2 won't have a singular "big bad" at all, with the main center of the plot being "consequences of screwing with time, and discovering the past/future/alternate universes" without a specific villain as the focus.
